What you are (hopefully) about to download is effectively two episodes stiched together - a Frankenepisode, if you will. Basically, we started recording with Brian Stensaas, got about 20 minutes in, and then the computer died. We later recovered the data from the crash, but by that time it was two days later, so Stu and Jon recorded another 40 minutes and grafted that onto the end of the original episode.
We are not good at this.
We talk British Open and Wild with Clarence and Brian, then Twins and Timberwolves with Stu and Jon, and it's all a little disjointed.
I would say bear with us because it'll be better next week, but past experience says that's just not something we can promise.

We've promised this episode a few times, but it's finally here (by which we mean our planning was finally bad enough that we don't have an actual episode this week.) Every so often, we stick around and shoot the breeze after the podcast is actually over, and sometimes we remember to record it. This episode is an amalgamation of three of these - following episodes 10, 11, and 17. You'll hear guests Parker Hageman, Jesse Lund, and Ladonna, along with the usual crew. Among other things, we talk about:
We hope to be back next week, but if you listen to this podcast, you know that nothing we say can ever be trusted.

Against all odds, the guys actually talk about Minnesota sports this week. Brandon rants for a good long while about Flip, then the gang craps on the Twins for a while before righting the karmic teeter-totter by extending some deserved Glen Perkins love. Later, the episode devolves into our traditional riffs and asides (frozen Charleston Chews FTW) until we all fall asleep.
Don’t let the lack of guests dissuade you, rubes. This one’s worth your while.

This week, we had #StearnsCountyPartyBus organizer Parker Hageman on to walk us through the experience of taking a party bus with a bunch of Internet friends to a Northwoods League game. We also talked a lot about minor-league baseball, a lot about the MLB draft, and a little about the Stanley Cup Finals - specifically, who we should cheer for, Boston or Chicago.
We hope you'll listen. We always say it's a good one, but we really mean it this time.

TwinkieTown boss Jesse Lund and his lady friend Ladonna join the crew to talk Twins, NBA finals, I-Rocs, freestyling, Todd Van Poppel, Dukes of Hazzard, NHL playoffs, Hines Ward, beaver pelts, overblown mammaries, Michael Douglas, pathetic Steve Phillips, Edith Bunker and much more.
It's the unfocused banter you've come to expect with a huge extra helping of laffs. Really fun one, have yerself a listen.

This week, podcaster emeritus Michael Rand joins us to recap the 2013 edition of the Great Baseball Road Trip, which visited Des Moines, Kansas City, and Cedar Rapids (and, much to Clarence's chagrin, went to a soccer game as well.)
We talk Byron Buxton, review the ongoing disaster that is the Twins, and try (and fail) to talk about the hockey playoffs. Plus: all of the tangents you've come to expect, up to and including a mention of Sixto Lezcano.

The squad was so intimidated by the genius mind of special guest and Star Tribune web-geek Brian Stensaas that we spent the first 20 minutes engaging in nervous polite banter. But we loosened up soon enough and hit on such topics as insane Packers fans, frontrunning, Bo Ryan being an asshole, bachelor party tips, party tacos, microfiche and how to break into college stadiums.
Also: Clarence provides a few details about his near-arrest, Brandon launches into an unprompted bitchfest about lacrosse, Stu drops out after uttering like eight words and, later, some actual no-nonsense Twins talk. All in all, it's the confusing, curse-happy, tirade-laden bro-gab session you've come to rely on.

Twins blogging godfather and noted social butterfly Aaron Gleeman joins what may be the most tangent-filled podcast in history. A few topics, and yes this is for real: cro-magnon men, Psycho T, Greg Popovich, insecure media members, coal miners, internet friend meet-ups, Japanese waitresses, dance moms marathons, homers, party buses and, finally, a good solid 20 seconds of Twins analysis.
And that isn't the half of it. Some rock-solid nonsense awaits, friends. Thanks for your patronage.
