For Three full years Kevin Donaldson and Mike Failace have explored tales of extreme Suffering and overcoming of adversity from either survivors, loved ones, or the professionals that care for those in need. The Suffering Podcast has built a mission around assisting those in need to assist in overcoming of trauma and pain by highlighting individuals or topics that may give better coping skills or tools to succeed. Don’t be mistaken to think that hearing all the stories don’t come without a price. Either the suffering brought on by the production of the show or the stories behind the subject, Kevin and Mike need moments to step back and reflect on their journey in shows like this.

In June of 2012 Clark ran into the pedophile rapist who had abused hin as a young boy. By his side was a
young boy about the age that he had raped Clark.. Seeing him ripped open all of Clark’s repressed childhood pain. A few months later Clark drove to his house to confront him. At the end of that confrontation, he lay dead. HeI was arrested for his murder and faced life in prison, but instead, Clark accepted a plea deal to 2nd degree murder and got sent away to prison for 5 years.
During his time incarcerated, ClarkI decided to transform his life from one of self-destruction, to one of self-
construction. Clark’s gateway to a better life would require self-discipline and self-improvement. The
avenue for attaining these two things would come from daily exercise, faith, transparency, and no
longer harboring the secrets from my past. This past year Clark found himself going on a 6-month backslide
after sustaining a shoulder injury and then finding his brother dead on our kitchen floor. Clark was
depressed, lethargic, and eating unhealthy foods. After looking in the mirror at his ballooning weight, he
said, “This has to change. Clark has an upcoming multi-episode documentary coming out soon, as well as a book release with Simon and Schuster Publishing.
Please follow Clark Fredericks on all the social media platforms to stay up to date
on his soon to be released projects.

On our last “in studio” recording for Season 3 of The Suffering Podcast, we welcome back two of our favorite people, Mike Depalma and Bobby Crudele to have a little fun at the end of the year. We hear stories of those who have overcome adversity on a level that can hardly be comprehended, its time to pick our head up from the hard work and enjoy.
Mike DePalma has seen war, a career in law-enforcement, and a personal battle that would cripple most. Multiple concussive blasts, while overseas in the army coupled with on the job injuries as a police officer have left Mike with a diagnosed traumatic brain injury. You have seen him numerous times on the show and the Hurricane has returned.
Bobby Crudele comes from a family that has deep roots in Jersey City and Belleville and as a kid moved to North Arlington. Bobby has served honorably as a Sergeant in the North Arlington Police department and will finish his career with distinction this year. His deep love of sports rose out of I growing up on the playground, spending most of his entire youth playing some sport every day continuing into adulthood. A man whom we admire, Bobby has one of the most warped senses of humor and quickest of wits. Strap in for a wild ride when Bobby comes to town.

Paul Martino is the picture of success. The loving wife, great family, beautiful home and successful business. Paul owns one of the largest landscape construction companies in NJ building parks, athletic fields, stadiums, synthetic turf and general construction. There has been a lot crammed into the 63 revolutions around the sun.
Paul’s journey began a long time ago, growing up in Bloomfield NJ when he was first introduced to drugs and alcohol. Escalating to more frequent usage and harder drugs, by the time high school rolled around Paul would be considered by most to be an addict. Being an intelligent young man, Paul found a way to manipulate the system and get good grades as well as maintain being the captain of the football team.
All the good things in life were coming his way even though he was a full blown addict and in his senior year, the law came knocking. Being set up by a friend with an undercover narcotics officer, Paul and 19 others were arrested and facing jail time. Somehow through charm, Paul was allowed to attend college but the bad behavior continued and fell into full beast mode. That is where this story just begins.
