"I have helped create the thing I wish I had."
Samantha and I both share openly about our journeys through post partum depression and how difficult it was to admit it, and get help. While we both were skeptical at first, we have thrived in our "mommy" groups and developed community which has sustained us through hard times.
You can find Samantha on Instagram @trtlesam, Facebook or Twitter @trtlesam.
Some of the resources Samantha recommends include www.perinatalsupport.org who have a "warm line" where you can contact them and get a call back within 24 hours with someone who will listen and help you find resources in your community. She also recommends www.postpartum.net. If you are in the Bellingham, WA area there is also a weekly support group available as well as Michelle Anderson from Mobile Mama Therapy who is actually the counselor that I saw and who helped me so much.

We talked about several podcasts we enjoy: Dirty John, S-Town, Star Talk, Serial, Anna Faris Unqualified, and the Popcast with Knox and Jamie.
If you love podcasts, I would highly recommend getting one of these blue tooth earbuds. They are small, discrete, and allow you to easily listen to podcasts while getting stuff done around the house or out running errands.
