Who doesn't love a little house theory? If you are new to this concept, you'll have to tune in to find out what we mean!

Hello all! Excited to chat with Kyle Franz and Mike Koprowski today about Broomsedge Golf Club and the architectural experiences or themes that will carry into this project. 

Kyle is now a major artery in the industry, restoring important work and building his own, but he was involved in the courses we all consider as great work. Amongst others, he was there at Barnbougle, at Pacific Dunes, The Rio Olympic Course, and Cabot Links before putting his fingerprint on Mid Pines, Pine Needles, Southern Pines, Country Club of Charleston, and more. ((We're also so excited to see Lookout Mountain))

Mike has been working with Kyle since the project at Southern Pines began. As a Pinehurst native, he showed interest in the restoration, and has brought a unique skillset to the table ever since. The two have been working together on plans for Broomsedge Golf Club, a site found and purchased by Mike near Columbia, South Carolina. 

It’s a fresh canvas with Kyle’s name on it. We’re looking forward to seeing it come together.

Stephens Cup preview pod, let's run it. 

Walker is on site this week to bring us a boots on the ground view into what is rapidly becoming one of the cooler college golf events out there. Hosted by the Stephens family for the second year now, the Stephens Cup is a stroke play and match play event with 7 of the top men's and women's teams in the country as well as a few individuals from HBCU's and Service academies. Super cool.

Stephen Malbon and his wife Erica Founded https://malbongolf.com in 2017. A marriage followed by a pregnancy turned Stephen away away from his wild days, and forced him to confront the game he abandoned as a teenager. 

Years later, it became a central focus. Between the bonds made with the tight-knit LA community, a reclaimed obsession with golf, and the fresh perspective of being a parent, it was clear why Malbon is what it is today. 

Malbon certainly challenges traditional themes in the game many of us know today. During this interview, you'll get to hear Stephen himself explain his path, his mission, and his "Tie" to the game of golf.

This was a blast of an episode. Starvin Marvin is a regular guy who is obsessed with golf, food, and just having a good time, just like many members of The Tie community.

Marvin lives in Darien, CT with his family and started his instagram and TikTok just earlier this year but has quickly gained quite a following and is improving at a rapid pace. The kids are good. Its that simple.

Today we dive into the President's Cup and how it has come to be that the United States is winning these team competitions with such ease. Spoiler, the rest of the world isn't necessarily getting worse, the USA is just getting better. We have access to a pool of players from the NCAA that are pushing the game domestically to new heights with so many early to mid twenty year olds showing up on tour ready to win a soon as they earn their playing rights and there is only reason so believe this phenomenon will grow more and more.

You probably know Cole Hammer as the kid that played in the 2015 US Open at age 15, a 2-time Walker Cupper, and NCAA Champion, Western Amateur Champion, and much more. What you probably didn't know is that he has a deep passion for and knowledge of golf course architecture that he enjoys alongside his competitive endeavors.
