In this episode, I speak with Jaclyn Witmer, a clinical psychologist who works at Therapy Group of NYC (office between Bryant Park and Grand Central). Jaclyn specializes in working with adults, mostly women in their 20's and 30's, on life-transitions, self-compassion, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and gender and sexual-identity concerns. Jaclyn and I talk about transitioning from in-person to virtual therapy, themes we are seeing with our patients during this time and how to navigate all of this. We also talk about the dangers of toxic-positivity, switching career paths (a topic she has personal experience with), social media, and lots more. For more on Jaclyn and her work, check out her practice's instagram which she runs (@therapygroupnyc) and www.withtherapy.com, which is a therapist-matching platform her practice just launched!
