  • Mixed Up Money (recovery) with Financial Nerd Alyssa Davies

This month we’re sitting down with guests to talk about the big M word. That's right, money, honey.  We're going deep into how we relate to, avoid relating to, and hate relating to it. Yikes! That sounds heavy, but luckily in this episode, we’re joined by the prolific money mindset creator, Alyssa Davies of Mixed Up Money.

Alyssa Davies is a published author living in Calgary, Alberta. She is the founder of the two-time award-winning Canadian Personal Finance Blog of the Year, Mixed Up Money. Check out her books, The 100-Day Financial Goal Journal, and Financial First Aid.

We're also upvoting Alyssa's brand-new pod, moneyfeels.buzzsprout.com, which comes out this Thursday.

  • If “Wellness” is Dead, What Comes Next?

What do we mean when we talk about "Wellness"? We know that it’s a multi-billion dollar industry built on products and services centered on “self-care”, and we also understand that to be "well", means much more than purchasing the latest green powder from Whole Foods.

This is part 3/3 in our series unpacking the complex topic of what it means to work, take part, and profit from the (capital W) Wellness industry.

This week Michelle and Wallis are musing on the demise of a specific type of “Wellness” consumerism if it’s gone for good, why it matters, and what this means for the future of the complex and weighty world of “Wellness”.

We want to hear from you! All we do, we do for you, and your opinions and hot takes really matter. Let us know with a voice note here, your thoughts on this series. We’d love to hear your genius takes and share your sweet dulcet tones with the community on the pod. Don't be shy :)

This is part two of a three-part series we’ll be speaking with several guests to unpack the nuanced and complex layers of what it means to work, take part, and profit from the (capital W) Wellness industry.

This week we’re chatting with Danielle Friedman about her incredible work on the history of women’s fitness from the 60s onward and how this history informs our most complex notions of what it means to be well in our bodies today.
