UCLA and UC San Francisco begin recruiting and training contact-tracers to trace the spread of the coronavirus across the state. It includes having some state employees learning to test, trace and isolate anyone who may be infected in order to keep the coronavirus from being unknowingly spread to other people. The National Association of County and City Health officials estimate 30 contact tracers are needed for every 100,000 people.
