In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the player of the game award a giant coiled rope that holds a heavy meaning for the club. “It’s how important every member of the team their hands on the rope. It’s hard to win a day, it’s hard to win a game, it’s hard to win in your division, it’s hard to qualify for the playoffs, it’s hard to win a Stanley Cup,” head coach Peter Laviolette explained. “Just how important everybody’s hands are on the rope.”

Later in the show Dan talks about the depth signing of Sonny Milano. Washington has signed Milano to a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000. He has been placed on waivers for the purpose of a loan to the Bears. If he clears, he will go to the Bears on Monday.
