The Washington Capitals beat the Montreal Canadians in a convincing fashion by the score of 8-4. This was a physical game for the Capitals. Tom Wilson really brought his style of physical game by hitting everyone that was near him

There was some great scoring in this game by the Capitals. There was two goals by Anthony Mantha, one goal by Dimitri Orlov, Nic Dowd, Garnet Hathaway, T.J. Oshie Alex Ovechkin and Justin Schultz.

Vitek Vanecek played well and made 28 saves on 32 shots.

The Capitals now prepare to head out west and play the Colorado Avalanche, Las Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes
