In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the Capitals loss to the Detroit Red Wings. This is the Capitals fifth loss in a row. The problem in the game was a one that we've seen many times before from this team. When the opponent gets on the score board first the Capitals have a hard time coming back and winning those games. The Capitals were only able to muster 12 shots on net through two periods. That not going to win you any hockey games. The Capitals attempted to stage a third period come back but fell short. Later Dan talks about despite the fact that the Caps are struggling it's not all bad news. Tom Wilson get his scond goal in as many games and tonight's game saw the return of Nic Dowd to the lineup. Nic is having a career year and looks to help this team towards the end of the regular season. In the final segment Dan talks about the importance of Alex Ovechkin in the lineup for his goal scoring and his leaderhship skills.
