Local Gold Coaster and former French Foreign Legion Elliott joins Flan, Ali and Spida for ‘Persons of Interest’. Elliott explains how he first decided to join one of the toughest armed forces in the world saying, “I just felt very stagnant where I was in life, and I just wanted a change, and I wanted to do something different”.
Elliott said he did not doubt that he would get in even though there are “10,000 people apply every year and only 1,000 get in”. He was over in France when the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attacks happened and says “the whole of France was on red alert” changing the law for the French Foreign Legion from that day.
