Today’s episode is all about the one pattern that I see all the time in people that is preventing them from becoming the person that they want to be. I talk to people all the time about change, and what I’m finding over and over again is that people can tell me everything they don't want in their lives, but they cannot clearly articulate to me what they do want in their life, how they want to feel, and what habits they want to adopt.
In this episode, we’ll discuss avoidance goals and the Core Four set of values to identify how we want to feel in our lives. If you need help figuring out how you want to feel, how your future self feels, what values your future self embodies, join us in Alliance Coaching!

I have an exciting announcement! Today I made the decision to enroll in Alliance Coaching as a behavior change coaching client!
In today’s episode, I’ll be talking a little bit about what brought me to this decision, why I chose this, and hopefully give you some insight as to why people might choose to coach with us, and why someone might need or want a behavior change coach. I know that when shit hits the fan in a lot of areas, it’s hard for me to prioritize myself, but having a coach essentially holds me accountable to showing up for me.

Welcome to another Q&A episode of The Work Of Becoming podcast! The question we’re discussing on today’s episode is how to handle rest and overwork as an entrepreneur. I’ll debunk a few general ideas around overworking as well as discuss three things I think about in terms of rest and overwork as an entrepreneur.
If navigating rest and overwork while increasing your quality of work is something you want to work on, we work a lot with our clients in one-on-one coaching on this. If you are an entrepreneur and you have control over how much you work, I would encourage you to play with balance. It might very well be that when you work less you are actually a better version of you and your quality of work increases.

I was really interested in this concept of Uplifts, and I recently started playing around with integrating more Uplifts into my routine. An uplift is a mindful moment of joy in your day. These Uplifts can deeply benefit us by protecting us from stress.
In today’s episode, we’ll be talking all about a daily walk as well as the psychological construct called Uplifts, and I’ll dive deeper into one of the main ways I have incorporated Uplifts into my daily life. We’ll talk about how outside exposure, a daily walk, Uplifts, and how all of these things put together can be transformative for our mental health.

Today’s episode is about a money mindset wobble that I had recently. At the beginning of the year, I decided that one of my financial goals was to save more money. In doing so, I started to feel all of this money scarcity, and scarcity, for me, creates anxiety, which makes me restrict spending. There was no room for me to spend for enjoyment or pleasure or because I wanted to or as a form of self-care, and so, as a result, I wasn't getting any joy.
In this episode, I’ll talk about the all or nothing mindset we can sometimes get when it comes to spending, the importance of budgeting to care for ourselves, and why support is needed to navigate the money mindset wobble we can sometimes find ourselves in. I hope you walk away from this episode considering where you're at with your own spending and your own budget and that you allow yourself enough money to support your life so you can be the best version of yourself.

It hit me as I was starting to record today that these episodes are going to air in May, and May is basically the beginning of summer! Today’s episode is a kind reminder for your summer vacations.
I’ll be talking about a client that I worked with who was a mom who had a bunch of trips lined up one summer. She thrived in a steady routine, and when she’d go on vacation, she’d get thrown off her routine. We’ll discuss the importance of vacation on ramps and off ramps and why we all need a vacation from our vacation. Bookending is important stuff, y’all!

Today’s episode is a Q&A episode where I answer a question that one of you submitted. The question that was asked for today’s episode is one that I get all of the time: “Do you have any tips or tricks to become tidy?” I’ll be talking about how people approach learning to become tidy, how we can prevent the mess in the first place, and how we can learn to change our mindset and/or behavior so it’s not that we have to be tidier people, but everything is tidier to begin with because we are less messy.
If you have questions that you want me to address on the podcast, every five episodes I do a Q&A episode where I answer a question from one of you. Submit your question below for a chance to have it answered on the podcast!

I was reflecting back on a client that I worked with at the very beginning of Alliance Coaching who claimed she had, what she called, a huge procrastination problem. She essentially would guilt herself because of procrastination and ended up with procrasti-guilt.
In this episode, we’ll be talking about how procrastination drives more self-judgment than necessary and how the sooner we accept our procrastination the better because it’ll always be a part of us humans. Procrastination is the number one thing we work with clients on in coaching, so if you want to work on this yourself, go to www.bodybrainalliance.com/coaching to learn more about our program!

I recently had a post about my personal boundaries when it comes to the DMs do really well. It got a bunch of shares, and it was very supported, but people started to comment on it and say very negative things about me. Needless to say, I did a lot of crying in my car, and I was really upset. Every single part of me wanted to hide, self-soothe, and numb out.
In this episode, I’ll be sharing with you what I did to avoid turning to emotional eating to soothe myself at this moment of sadness. I’ll also go into the importance of letting our feelings flow through us, the benefits of reframing what’s happening when we’re having a bad day, and how to save ourselves from the fuck-its to live into a more empowered version of ourselves. It’s never too late to turn your bad days around with the things you actually need.
