There’s a reason Philadelphia is called the mural capital of the world — we have a lot of murals. And every October, the city celebrates its public art through events hosted by Mural Arts Philadelphia. City Cast Philly host Trenae Nuri and producer Abby Fritz attended a recent Mural Arts Month event in Kensington where a mural was unveiled on a van that will connect residents with art opportunities and mental health resources. Trenae spoke with Porch Light director Nadia Malik and artist Jose “Busta” Bustamante about how public art is making an impact in Kensington.
