In this episode, James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives with our collaborator and longtime friend, Joshua Messarge. It all started with a novel, Nightfall (1990) by Isaac Asimov. But before it started, it BEGAN with the short story in 1941. In this episode, James, Josh, and I discuss the original short story at length and share our own unique perspectives on the characters, plot, and ideas within. We try and decipher subliminal messages from Asimov in the dialogue between characters, too. And there's potentially hidden predictions of the future (the internet, cryptids, etc.) and more!

In this episode, James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives with our occasional collaborator and longtime friend, Kris Seppala.. The "Faith-Based" market is a tricky one, especially when it comes to its perspective and rules on what is considered art within that market. James, Kris and I go on a deep-dive when it comes to inputting our various beliefs and faiths into the things we create. There are so many gray areas when it comes to the visual medium of Cinema in relation to faith and religion. And we tackle a few of those ideals that you find within the industry that may naturally seem combative at first, but at the heart it's simply people trying their best to get their story told. We also discuss the quality of these faith-based products, rather than the focus on story and themes that are more functional for the format of television and motion pictures outside of this niche market. The conversation is very personal, open, and we don't intend to impose any particular belief on those of you who are listening!

In this episode, James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives. Dreams are super important, both as children and as adults. What we started noticing is how the dreams we had as kids, shaped our lives in deciding what our goals were going to be. And the two combined make for a motivated individual beyond a doubt. Sometimes people try and place prophecy on your life (Jame's example) or you're inspired by other forms of art that make you an obsessive person bent on becoming good at that one thing (Jonathan's example). Either way, we usually end up on the path of fulfilling the dreams and goals for our individual lives. There's a good conversation ahead, filled with energy and discovery in what keeps our dreams alive! And a few rabbit trails that we always tend to take to better support the subject of discussion. Dream big!

In this episode, James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives. The dark times are some of the most important times in our lives. They truly shape us, for better or for worse. And yet, there's so much to learn from them. If you or someone you know is going through a dark period in their life, we're hoping to give some guidance here, and maybe a little bit of comfort. We're not experts on the dark times, but we've definitely had our fair share of hardships, that we could at least relate! There's so many tips and tricks to learn when going through what may be considered: a dark time, in your life. James and I talk about how habits and routines can form during these periods of darkness. And our perspective may be a little odd, unconventional, or weird. But we've definitely experienced plenty of dark clouds trying to rain our parade. Let's find the good in the dark times!

James and I share a few anecdotes involving the sauce, the booze, the FIREWATER! Some of them are funny, some of them were interesting wake-up calls telling us that the spirits wanted us to find other ways of enjoying ourselves. No matter what way we looked at it, we still found that alcohol has had a profound affect on our lives individually and even for a few shared experiences. We don't condone the consumption of alcohol, nor do we reject those of us who consume. Just sit back and listen to another tale from us old salts, and leave your inhibitions at the door!

In this episode, James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives. Boredom seems to have a negative connotation in today's society. Maybe this is a sign of the times in which technology has pretty much given a surrogate to originality and focused creativity. Maybe it's due in part of a misjudged conspiracy from baby-boomers to their children. Or maybe people are simply anxious and afraid of time alone and without the constant simulation. Who knows for sure. But one thing is for sure, boredom can lead to great things, because you're giving your mind, body, and spirit a chance to take a break and use the ole imagination. James and I go deep in this energetic conversation about the state of being bored and why it can lead to great things, and we really shouldn't be scared of being bored in the slightest.

In this episode, James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives. Moving can be really stressful, uncertain, and just down right crazy. But with a similar goal in mind, making it in the movies, James and I tell the tales of how our individual moves down to Georgia came about and became essential to our success. It's coming up on my 5-year anniversary and James' 3-year anniversary of when we first moved to the Peach State and our initial experiences in film production (both indie & union). There were many ups and downs to the process but this transition greatly shaped our lives.
