Welcome to your fave historical comedy pod with Caitlin Corsetti and Carmen Harbour!
After a brief quarantine, anxiety, life-induced hiatus, we are BACK. And we'd like to say that Black Lives Matter, Happy Pride, and if you're racist, you can kindly fuck off.
This week we're highlighting two incredible Black women in history. Carmen tells us about the fabulous Queen Marsha P. Johnson, an amazing transgender drag queen and activist who was involved in the Stonewall Uprising and essentially invented Pride parades. And Caitlin takes us out of this world with the tale of Mary W. Jackson, one of NASA's Hidden Figures who was NASA's first Black female engineer and helped humans go to literal space.
PLACES YOU CAN DONATE TO:
BLM
The Okra Project
The Bail Project
National Bail Out
SO MANY MORE. Here's a great big list.
We encourage everyone to read, research, and use your voice to combat racial injustice and inequality in our society. We can do this!
