the key to making yoga work for you...is to keep working your yoga. even the most basic stuff...ok, especially the most basic stuff.
key practices include: plank, down dog, half lift, sun a, crescent lunge, warrior 2, eagle, pyramid, and bridge/wheel.
honestly, this is one of those "all you need" kind of practices.
pardon the references to the limbo + barbed wire.
key practices include: gliding flow, lunges, step-over side plank, squats, 90/90 flow, twists, side bends, neck releases, you get the idea.
whatever body you've shown up with is the exact body you need for this practice. go ahead...enjoy moving around in the skin you're in.
yep. it's our semi-annual deep dive into revolved triangle to get you nicely wrung out.
and, of course, this is a not-so-traditional take on the pose.
not just to be contrarian...although, we do like that around here...but to allow more bodies to experience the benefits of the pose.
the traditional structure may be great for you...if so, keep it. but if you've never been a fan of the pose because it feels awkward, hurts your low back, or doesn't seem to do much, this ones for you!
key practices: lots of twisting and spinal alignment cues.
this is a straight up mobility salutations flow. we keep it pretty straightforward...except when we go sideways.
enjoy, y'all!
key practices: sun A, squat salutations, lunge salutations, pigeon salutations....you get the idea.
lots and lots and lots of good stuff in here, y'all. enjoy!
a very happy Thanksgiving to our U.S. Benders...
we're grateful for every body who gets on the mat with us near and far...thank you for being part of this crazy little thing called yoga.
throwing this out there for everyone who's having the extra slice of pie, glass (bottle) of wine, or dose family drama this week.
not because you gotta burn it off...you don't.
it just feels good to pair those things with moving, breathing, and (potentially) breaking a sweat.
back strength is something we can all use a little more of...backbends help, but so do twists and planks...and forward folds help keep your back body muscles relaxed and up for anything.
key practices include: triple backbend sun A, bow pull lunge salutations, backbend pigeon, and seated straddle flow.
need to get your body back to good after a long sit on an airplane, in a car, or at your desk. side bends, twists, and hip openers to the rescue.
from your feet to your forehead, we've got tension relief covered in this one.
key practices include: guided Savasana, hip mobilizers, neck and shoulder openers, twists, forward folds galore, and seated side bends.
