How is this non-profit bringing strength training to survivors of gender based violence and why?
Interview with Dianna Scotece, the founder of StrengthIsMine.org. The mission of the organization: M.I.N.E. offers itself as a new tool for survivors emerging from the silence and isolation of gender-related violence, including physical, emotional, domestic abuse, sex trafficking and exploitation.
In collaboration with Sanctuary for Families, a leading service provider for the survivor community, the creators of M.I.N.E. have come to see how strength training can help survivors regain agency over their bodies, fortifying themselves physically and emotionally, all while building and participating in a robust and supportive community.

Dianna Scotece is a veteran Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist of 25 plus years.
In 2017, Dianna created Women of Iron, a power-lifting-focused event for women ages 50 and up. Seeing these women rejoice, thrive, and build a community as they practiced and executed deadlifts, squats, and bench presses empowered Dianna to widen her scope of influence to create Muscle Inspires New Empowerment (M.I.N.E)
