The ladies kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with a delicious Chilean wine, Momentos Carmenere 2016, and according to Yvette it is Magic.  It may well be because it definitely transforms their so so Monday into an adventure into their origin stories, where we have to question whether or not Alma was conceived in a hearse, and we learn of Yvette’s traumatizing trip to the Aardvark Video store where they rented the wrong kind of movie at the ripe old age of 11. Get your tissue ready because Yvette gives a detailed account of Selena Quintanilla’s rise to the top of the charts and then her betrayal by a trusted friend that cost her her life.  Alma then discusses the Latin mythological creature known as El Duende that will have you sleeping with steel-toed boots.

The ladies recount stories of their exciting weekend out on the town, taking in the Eagles concert and trying out a new bar in downtown Phoenix, Bitter & Twisted, well new to them anyways. Sipping on an Australian wine called Sideshow, Novelties and Oddities, No. 2, The Puppetmaster Shiraz.  Shhhh…don’t tell Yvette Puppet Master is the name of a scary movie.  Yvette discusses the harrowing and brutal murder of  Sandy Jeffers, who was murdered by a man who had been stalking her.  Alma tells us the supernatural 1977 account of a family in Enfield, England who were plagued by poltergeist activity that targeted the children.

The gals start off the evening with the limited Goose Island Cooper Project, Scottish Ale.  Yvette delves into the weird and sad tale of the disappearance of Kathie Durst, and the stranger tale of Robert Durst.  Alma tells the eerie tale of the Mothman sightings in both Point Pleasant, West Virginia and similar stories around the world.

 

 

 

 

 

The gals start off the evening with with a delicious Hefeweizen style beer from Oak Creek Brewing Co.  Yvette tells the sad tale of America’s Unknown Child, also known as the Boy In The Box.  Alma takes us to Ireland,  Hook Peninsula, County Wexford to be exact with the haunted history of Loftus Hall.

In Episode 5 Yvette, fueled by caffeine and a few glasses of Arizona Angel Zinfandel-Syrah and an eye-full of franks and beans, recounts the random and murderous spree of  serial shooters Dales Hausner, and Samuel Dieteman.  Alma tells the strange tale of Sarah Winchester and her sprawling, confusing, and purportedly haunted mansion.

We start out the night with a summer wine from Page Wine Cellars, and it’s all downhill from there.  Yvette discusses the Baseline Killer, Mark Goudeau and his reign of terror on the community of Phoenix, Arizona and the surrounding areas.  Alma tells the tale of the Navajo skinwalker, a type of of Navajo witch, including some close encounters that will raise the hair on the back of your neck.

Yvette retells her harrowing adventure with her poor pup Bella, who was just trying to live her best life.  Bella is the start of today’s episode and the real MVP.  You will have to listen to find out the deets.  She then goes into detail about the outlandish tale of the Butcher of Paris, Marcel Petiot, or is it Perot, or Petot? Potato Petoto.  You are going to want to hear the story.  Alma takes on the story of Bigfoot, the long history of sightings and some horrifying first hand encounters with the hairy odorous behemoth. As always despite the harrowing tales, our girls find humor in between the lines.

The ladies start out the night with Sapporo and saki.  Alma starts things off with the tale of two dolls from opposite sides of the world but both equally creepy.  Well Annabelle might have the edge on the creep factor, but Okiku will make you want to lock your dolls in a closet and throw away the key.  Yvette discusses the strange and sad circumstances surrounding the 1982 disappearance of young Johnny Gosch.

In our very first episode Alma and Yvette start the evening out right with a 2016 Primal Root’s blend, which sends them down memory lane discussing their 2016 adventures.  Alma jumps or stumbles through her first paranormal story about  the notoriously haunted Glamis Castle in Scotland.  Then we all learn together about Yvette’s possible connections to the Night Stalker murder rampage as she delves into story of the notorious serial killer, Richard Ramirez.  A special thanks to Jesse Pesqueira for our intro music, and Serjio Hernandez for our artwork.
