The Tipsy Duo join forces once more as Yvette joins Alma and they enjoy a bottle of Second Voyage 2017 Red Blend from South Australia.  Yvette discusses the chilling stalking case of Sarah Pisan and murder of Cheryl Ann Daniels by serial killer Stephen Morin.  Alma delves into the hundred year old history and haunting of Bobby Mackey’s Music World in Wilder Kentucky.

On this very short episode Alma is flying solo and discussing another missing person’s case.  Ashley HeavyRunner Loring went missing one day in June 2017 form the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana, and ever since her family has not only had to deal with not knowing what happened to Ashley, but also in getting local law enforcement to treat her disappearance with the seriousness it deserved. This further highlights the disproportionate number of missing and murdered indigenous women in this country and the issues that their families run into when reporting.  If you haven’t listened to Episode 23, please back track and listen to it before you listen to this episode.

After a brief hiatus, Alma is back and is joined once again by Phillip of My Celluloid Heart.  Sipping on a delicious red blend called The Banished by 19 Crimes, Phillip takes it back to 1936 Japan, to discuss the bizarro love affair that ends in strangulation and castration.  Alma gets into details about a 1000 year old Inn in Gloucestershire England called the Ancient Ram Inn. Not only is the inn ancient, but it is extremely haunted. Two stories you will have to listen to believe.

In this episode, Alma is joined by her son Mario to discuss the twenty year old abduction case of  11 year old Mikelle Biggs.  On January 2, 1999, Mikelle was taken from in front of her Mesa, Arizona home.  It is still an unsolved and open case that has baffled detectives for two decades.

 

The ladies start out the evening with a bottle of 2011 Cartlidge & Brown Cabernet Sauvignon, which promptly gets spilled, which is a shame because apparently they are going to need the entire bottle to get through this episode.  Alma relives and retells her adventures with a toddler and her angry, incontinent dogs.  Yvette has some bad news of her own before she delves into the truly bizarre recap of the Netflix documentary Abducted In Plain Sight which details, the kidnapping of 12 year old Jan Broberg by her neighbor and close family friend Robert Berchtold.  You might need your own bottle of wine to listen to this one.

Its been a couple of weeks folks, and we are still not back to our regular schedule, so Philip Duke from My Celluloid Heart podcast drops in and helps Alma keep from flying solo.  He comes bearing gifts, a bottle of Dearly Beloved, Forever Red, a California red.  Phillip also takes on the topic of reincarnation with two specific true stories, that of Dorothy Eady, born in 1904 England, who had memories of living back in ancient Egypt during the time of Seti I, and the other of a young boy named James who started having memories of being a WWII pilot.  Alma discusses the mysterious circumstances surrounding the 1989 death of Cindy James, a 44 year, Vancouver, British Columbia nurse.

Join Alma and Yvette, as they step out of their comfort zone and help to shed light on the disturbing issue of missing and murdered women affecting Native American women in the US.  Murder rates in some Native communities are up to 10 time higher than the national average. Just one of many of many painful statistics that we have to share.

Join the gals for a special collaboration episode, as they are joined by friend and host of My Celluloid Heart Podcast, Phillip Duke. They start off the evening with a bottle of Menage a Trois, Midnight, a California dark red blend. Together they each take a piece of The Amityville Horror and try to separate fact from fiction. Of Course Yvette starts things out with the horrific murders of the Defeo family in Amityville Long Island, New York at the hands of Ronald Defeo Jr. Alma takes on the supposed haunting that took place after the George and Kathy Lutz purchase the home almost a year later, that included a demon pig named Jodie. A book was written by written by Jay Anson is adapted into a movie released in 1979 by the same name, and Phillip delves into the actors, and trivia. A few rabbit holes, scary bacon, and the basics of licking a chair, and we eventually get to our destination and the bottom of our bottle of wine.

Getting back to normal,the gals start the night out with a 2015 Cabernet Savignon from Handsome Devil called Wicked. Yvette jumps into her story about a recent murderous rampage of one Dwight Lamon Jones, which occurred in 2018 right in their own backyard in Arizona.  Alma tries to lighten the mood with the unexplained events and encounters of the Sherman family at Skinwalker Ranch in northeastern Utah.  Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the sheer number of mysterious events that took place on the ranch.

The Gals are back and ready to roll, bringing in their New Year with a bottle of Kenwood Vineyard’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Vintage 2014.  It’s opposite day so Alma goes first with the unsolved hijacking case of D.B.
