As promised the gals spend a night at the San Carlos Hotel.  We start out our virgin ghost hunting adventure at the Cornish Pasty across the street from the hotel to get a bite to eat and have a few whiskey sours to take the edge off.  Of course not everything goes as planned, but they finally end up in their room, room 720, the very same room that one of the hotels ghosts spent her last days.  Did we mention that Yvette joins in on the shenanigans this evening, well she did, and she gives us a little history on the surrounding Phoenix area, especially during the time that the hotel was built.  Alma gives a brief history of the hotel from it’s inception to the present day, and of course, last but certainly not least Carlene delves into the spirits that still call the San Carlos home.  She also has a few run ins with said ghosts while we are in the middle of recording.  The audio is a bit crazy, so we apologize ahead of time.  Our equipment was definitely not cooperating….we will blame it on the spirits and leave it at that.  Hope you all enjoy the episode.  We will have a video up on Patreon soon with a review of the evening and some pictures clips and audio of some of what we experienced.

For this episode the gals once again drink their summer favorite, an ice cold michelada, and you know what that means, they are both sassy and gassy.  Alma starts things off with something local, the Winnie Ruth Judd murders that occurred in 1931 Phoenix, Arizona.  This one is a doozy, filled with bootleg liquor, jealousy and a guy named Happy Jack.  Carlene discusses the very haunted May-Stringer House in Florida, and the sad story of it’s previous residents in life and beyond.

The ladies start out the evening with a bottle of Michael David 6th Sense Syrah, 2017 and it’s delicious.  Alma begins the story telling with the strange and grizzly murders carried out by the grandmotherly and superstitious Leonarda Cianciulli between 1939 and 1940.  Her victims were her trusting and unsuspecting neighbors and friends and you won’t believe how she disposed of their bodies.  Carlene discusses the hauntings and sad family history of the Lemp Family in St. Louis, Missouri during the turn of the century and early 20th Century.  Their legacy of beer and death will have you asking what might have been behind the series of suicides that plagued this family.  Tune in and buckle up.

For this episode the ladies skip the wine and go straight for an ice cold Michelada. After an existential conversation about the power of attraction Carlene dives right into the bloody tale of the Lizzy Borden murders in that occurred August 4, 1892 in Fall River Massachusetts.  At the end they are not completely convinced of her guilt or innocence, but hey, Carlene gets a lesson in anatomy and the importance of a hymen and we get to talk about the ghosties that still lurk in the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast.  Alma discusses Mary Bell, a murderess who was 11 years old at the time she murdered two young boys in the UK in 1968, Martin Brown and Brian Howe. `

For this episode Alma and Carlene discuss the tragic case of five year old Jhessye Shockley who went missing int October of 2011 in Glendale, Arizona.  Alma gives a detailed timeline of event from the day she went missing all the way up to the trial and Carlene discusses her own personal encounter with what she believes to be little Jhessye’s persistent spirit.

For this episode Alma and Carlene are still stuck at the turn of the century.  Fueled by a bottle of Estancia 2014 Pinot Noir they discuss both of their good and bad birthing experiences, because, of course we just talk about what ever pops into our heads.  Alma’s true crime story is that of Hungarian serial killer Bela Kiss who has a penchant for pickling corpses.  His reign of terror starts in the early 1900’s right up until he is conscripted int the Hungarian Army in 1914.  Carlene mixes things up with a true crime story that has a paranormal twist with the the story of Zona Heaster Shue.  Tune in and find out how she solves her own murder from the grave, and how a mother’s intuition is a powerful thing. Of course Carlene throws in some insights of her own, and also speaks of her own experiences relating to victims reaching out from the grave. It’s a long episode, but it’s worth it.

This episode is full of giggles and fueled by a bottle of 2016 Apothic Red, Winemakers Edition. The gals are joined by Alma’s cousin Bianca and she doesn’t have her own mic, so apologies ahead of time for some of her hilarious commentary that can’t be heard. Carlene starts things out with the spooky history of one of America’s most haunted hotels, The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. From a flirtatious ghost who loves the ladies, to the tragic history which includes the hotel being turned into a hospital and health resort, where patients checked in, but few checked out. Alma dives into the sordid tale of Nanny Doss, known also as The Giggling Grannie, who’s most famous for poisoning several husbands, which is bad enough, but her other victims will definitely send a chill up your spine.

The gals start out the evening with a bottle of Barefoot Pinot Grigio and talk a little Game of Thrones.  For this episode Alma dives into the sordid tale of femme fatale Sharon Kinne, also known as La Pistolera in Mexico, who murdered her husband, her lover’s wife and another unfortunate soul in Mexico before she was done.  Carlene’s tale is about the The Queen Mary in Long Beach California, which is famously haunted.  She dissects the true stories behind those ghost stories and also gives us her insights on on subjects such as the 3 a.m. “witching hour.”  So tune in and you might want to sit down with your own bottle of wine for this one.

Alma is once again joined by Carlene for this episode of Tipsy Tales.  The gals start off the evening with a  2017 bottle of  Valle Central Carmenere from Tingui Cellars.  Alma dives into the Depression Era mayhem caused by Bonnie & Clyde, during the years between 1930 and 1934.  Carlene discusses the famously haunted Whaley House in San Diego’s Old Town and shares her own personal experience from when she toured the old house.

For this episode Alma is joined by her friend Carlene, who just happens to be a psychic medium. They sip on, ok, maybe slurp, on some Francis Coppola 2014 Diamond Red Blend.  Alma starts things out with the age old story of Jack The Ripper, and the circumstances surrounding the 131 year old unsolved string of murders that terrorized the Whitechapel area in the East End of 1888 London.  Carlene discusses the Del Coronado Hotel in San Diego, California and its purported ghosts, and one spirit in particular, Kate Morgan, her activity and Carlene’s insights as to why she may still be haunting the hotel.
