With Lucien making all manner of noise in New Orleans, naturally he gets arrested for the killings. Detective Will Kinney gets kicked out of the room quickly so Cami and Vincent can take over the interrogation. Lucien shares his story, particularly when he, happily, became the first non-original vampire. He also brings a new theory to the case, that he is being framed by none other than Tristan. it is time to meet Tristan in New Orleans, and yes he is also weird. He makes his case for an alliance with Elijah, which mirrors much of Lucien’s logic. We also meet a new crazy face card, Aya, who gives us hope in Elijah’s sire line after seeing Tristan. She brings Marcel to a secret vampire fraternity and kind of their CIA, and we see that Elijah was certainly a muse for many. Meanwhile Jackson helps Hayley deal with her anger and guilt, but they still can’t deal with their lack of sexual chemistry. Klaus apologizes as much as he can to Elijah in an effort to find forgiveness and strengthen themselves in the face of the prophecy. Finally, Aurora makes it clear she is done with the monastery and ready to travel to, where else, to New Orleans!
