This week, Tranos delivers a piping hot anthology of transgressions. A person in Kamryn’s life has, over years, exemplified some of the most toxic behavior allies get up to, so she’s washing her hands of this person and collecting the runoff for the reference of other marginalized people who might have some false allies in their midst. This episode’s strain is Memory LossThis episode is musically inspired by "My Will Be A Dead Man" by Project 86Our theme music is “Supernova” by Arthur Vyncke | https://soundcloud.com/arthurvostMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons / Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en_USFollow Kamryn @TranosPod on TikTok@TheTranos on Twitter, @TranosLives on Instagram

  • Special Tranos Rebroadcast: Team Dead Inside

Tranos has been journeying far and wide and didn't have time to record an episode this week, so Tranos & The Lived Experience will revisit an arc in the Neglectecon Saga! ---

Kamryn, Andrew and Tracy convene to tell us all about growing up with a total lack of adult supervision. Together, they are The Neglectacons!

The Neglectacons play Knifey-Spooney, teach us nasty Rochester geography and recount Kamryn’s teenage fashion choices.

  • Cryptid Fascination

Tranos is back exploring the legend of transness. All over the United States, lawmakers spend their days arguing about if trans people are real. But here we are. Many of them have had close encounters with a trans person.

Kamryn explores the relationship between trans people and other spectacular creatures whose existence is in doubt.

This episode is musically inspired by “Sun Doesn’t Rise” by Mushroomhead.

  • Strung Out
This episode of Tranos is a reflection on Kamryn’s history with addiction. She revisits how painful it was to live in the closet and how that led her into the care of a therapist who put her on the 50s housewife treatment plan of 24/7 Valium. Instead of healing, she spend a long time chemically dissociating, but she was able to free herself from that toxic cycle and talk about it with clarity here today. This episode is musically inspired by “Strung Out” by 3rd StrikeThis episode’s strain is Lilac DieselOur theme music is “Supernova” by Arthur Vyncke | https://soundcloud.com/arthurvostMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons / Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en_USFollow Kamryn @TranosPod on TikTok@TheTranos on Twitter, @TranosLives on Instagram

  • Product Placement
This week, Tranos addresses some barriers to her piece. Though Tranos & the Lived Experience is striving to generate more positivity and comfort, certain people in the world are making it hard to focus on that. This episode examines the fake outrage on the right about Dylan Mulvaney’s brand deals with Bud Light and Nike. She’s an unobjectionable, white trans woman, and June’s coming up. It’s the most usual thing in the world, but conservatives and their figureheads are mobilizing boycotts where they buy a bunch of product and destroy it- which is not what a boycott is. But this misguided, flailing, ineffective outrage is drowning out important discussion about actual serious stuff like Tennessee lawmakers illegally attacking democracy in their state. There are layers of distraction that need to be peeled away before Kamryn can find room to focus on herself, but she’s still working to find that balance. This episode is musically inspired by “Like A Villain” by Bad OmensThis episode’s strain is Han Solo BurgerOur theme music is “Supernova” by Arthur Vyncke | https://soundcloud.com/arthurvostMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons / Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en_USFollow Kamryn @TranosPod on TikTok@TheTranos on Twitter, @TranosLives on Instagram

  • Bad at Self-Care
This week, Kamryn talks about a recent breakthrough: She went out in public at night. She’s struggled for a long time with feeling safe enough to venture into the dark, and she finds herself in a place where that can be an option now. She outlines the ways her trauma contributes to her agoraphobia and how her agoraphobia hampers her mental health, and she talks about how she’s working to care for herself though this cycle-breaking process.“Point #1” by ChevelleThis episode’s strain is Kosher KushOur theme music is “Supernova” by Arthur Vyncke | https://soundcloud.com/arthurvostMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons / Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en_USFollow Kamryn @TranosPod on TikTok@TheTranos on Twitter, @TranosLives on Instagram
