This weekend, a Texas judge has denied 18-year-old Karmelo Anthony a new trial after explosive revelations came out about a “gentleman’s agreement” between the prosecution and the defense. Both sides agreed to keep out incendiary past behavior by both Anthony, and his murder victim, Austin Metacalf that led up to the altercation at a high school track meet that ended with Anthony stabbing Metcalf in the heart. Anthony’s lawyers have vowed to continue their fight, arguing Anthony wasn’t able to take the stand in his own defense because the prosecution reneged on part of their verbal, backroom deal.

Meantime, her mother continued to defect any blame about her role in her “estranged” daughter’s death by continuing to point the finger at Hickerson. This comes as several celebrities went public with their feelings towards Hayden’s mom, along with a public apology of sorts from Neutrogena, which has come under fire for its decision to end a decade-long relationship with Hayden following her public acknowledgment she was suffering from postpartum depression.

Davis is heard on tape telling detectives about what happened that night and his role in the murder right after police assure him “Nothing you say today can be used against you” and that “nothing leaves this room” in a deal that had to anger family and friends of Shakur. Another shortened day of testimony that packed a punch in the courtroom. The drama began before the one and only witness of the day, as hundreds of women all dressed in pink with messages on their t-shirts showing support for Lindsay Clancy gathered outside the courthouse for a silent rally. Jurors had to be questioned one-by-one in a sidebar with the judge per the prosecution’s request. After that, the defense put a hospital chaplain on the stand who testified Lindsay’s first words to her were that she was glad her children were safe. She also testified that Lindsay told her a voice told her if she did not follow the command neither she nor her children would be safe.
