41-year-old Jesse Calhoun was in court yesterday, arraigned on a fifth homicide in a string of murders that terrorized the Portland, Oregon community. Family members of some of the young victims, who all ranged in age from 22 to 32, were present as Calhoun pleaded not guilty. Calhoun has a long criminal history of violent crime, but was released early under a prison firefighting program. That’s when Calhoun is alleged to have committed his killing spree, and police say their investigation remains open, saying there could be additional victims.

The Department of Justice has opened a new investigation into former New York Republican Congressman George Santos. President Trump commuted his 7 year sentence for financial crimes, but now he’s being investigated for insider trading. Officials say Santos bet against himself attending Trump’s SOTU address, after telling his X followers he was going. By NOT going, he was then able to cash in tens of thousands of dollars with his bet.

Well, that didn’t take long. New ‘60 Minutes’ EP Nick Bilton fired Scott Pelley after Monday morning’s staff meeting that he says Pelley “hijacked” to disparage him. Pelley fired back with a statement of his own, alleging that new management has instructed him to “inject falsehoods and bias” into his reporting. 53-year-old Andrew Lukehart is scheduled to die by lethal injection tonight at 6pm ET for the murder of his girlfriend’s 5 month old daughter. Lukehart fractured the skull of baby Gabriella after losing his temper while changing her diaper. Hear the fabricated story he told police, before eventually admitting his guilt. And, to make matters worse, Lukehart committed the brutal killing after recently being released from prison for beating his former girlfriend’s 8-month-old daughter just two years earlier.
