Screams in the middle of the night, Shadows on the walls, apparitions and

What makes this place so haunted?

The old Vicarige building is the scene of a strange story and not a lot of information is available about its history but the stories about the hauntings seem to abound especially now that it is used as a bed and breakfast.

Smethwick Swimming Centre in Thimblemill Road, known by generations of families as Thimblemill Baths, opened in 1933.

The Subways below the pools hold the most paranormal activity and even without the resident spooks looks like something from a horror movie.

Built from reinforced concreate the dark tunnels act as a storage area, but their original purpose was for the storage of staging from the concerts and dances the baths used to hold during the winter season.

Hundreds of years prior to the building the land was fields and farm land, but a secret was kept on the land which still holds true today.

In this episode we take look at one of Australia's most amazing natural wonders, Jenolan Caves. The caves are limestone wonders which attract visitors from all around the world but they also hold dark secrets and a history of haunted occurrences.

Jenolan Caves House was built for the comfort of the visitors who made the trek to the Blue Mountains from the city and accommodated visitors who wanted to spend time healing in the fresh mountain air.

This does not explain why there are so many haunted experiences that have become legendary.

Houska Castle is a Czech clifftop castle shrouded in dark myths and legends.

It was originally constructed in the 13th century, between 1253 and 1278, during the reign of Ottokar II of Bohemia.

The castle, which was built in the early gothic style, is located about an hour north of Prague on the top of a steep, rocky cliff in the Czech countryside and is thought to be one of the most haunted locations in the world.

This site was really intriguing, as it doesn't look like much from photographs.

But...there are strange things going on behind its tall stone walls.

The castle has held thousands of prisoners, including criminals of all kinds, political prisoners, and individuals prosecuted for their faith.

In 1612, during the reign of King James I, the castle was at the centre of a notorious trial, when nineteen people from the area of Lancashire were accused of witchcraft.

The defendants were imprisoned and tried in the castle. These proceedings became known as the Lancashire Witch Trials.

This stone sentinel holds many stories of hauntings, poltergeists, apparitions and human misery.

Anne and Renata follow the story of the Witches of Pendle Hill from the previous case to where they were put to death.

Way up high, in the very middle of Bodmin Moor, you’ll find the Jamaica Inn.

A pub once frequented by local pirates and smugglers, it’s small and incessantly battered by the elements.
