Truly Criminal

Between May 2011 and June 2013 Dr Christopher Duntsch performed surgery on 38 people. 32 were left with life changing injuries, in some cases completely paralysed, and 2 would die.

This case for many reasons is nothing short of frightening, and contemplating the amount of damage caused by one person in such a position of trust and power is hard to fathom...

On Thanksgiving weekend 2022, residents in a small cul-de-sac in Riverside, California, noticed a red Kia Soul driving around the area. The driver would get out and walk around for a while before driving off. Neighbours thought it strange and contacted the police. Little did anyone know, just a few hours later, a house would be up in flames and the police would be on the hunt for a murderer and kidnapper.

Today's case takes us to the United States, home to Reagan Tokes. When Reagan failed to contact her family after leaving a late-night shift near her university, everyone knew something was wrong.

What had happened to Reagan was absolutely horrifying and resulted in a much-needed change in the law in Ohio. A string of catastrophic failures had led to the ultimate tragedy.

In 2022, 54 year old Yolanda Dillion was busier than ever. She worked in the New Orleans police department, cared for her mother, was studying for a PHD and never missed a Sunday church service. With school and medical bills mounting up, she picked up some extra work with Uber.

But when she picked up a passenger one afternoon in December, no-one had any idea the events that would unfold...

In March 2015, a man walking near a landfill on the outskirts of Saskatoon, Canada found a teenage girl lying dead on the ground. She had marks around her neck, her watch was smashed, her shoes were missing and her jacket had blood on it. It was clearly a violent death.

It would take 2 years to solve the case, and little did officers realise, the biggest clue would staring them in the face the entire time.

Muskogee in Oklahoma, is a city of less than 40,000 people. It has quite a rural feel, and most homes are fairly spaced out and set apart from each other. The 900 block of Indiana Street, is no exception. And todays case takes us there, starting at 1:30am on February 2nd 2021 when a 911 call is made...

Nothing could prepare officers for what they were about to walk into.
