March 23, 2024Trusting Your Worth After Emotional Abuse with Zion NelsonMy Bestie Zion shares her story of how she overcame emotional abuse and learned to trust her worth again. There are signs of emotional abuse. When someone uses their words or behaviours to exert power or control over you. If your partner is jealous or mad at you for hanging out with your friends. They try and isolate you and need to know where you are at all times. They manipulate you, gaslight you, belittle you and do not apologize. They will love bomb you and then suddenly be upset with you for no reason. They might yell at you or belittle you, or make you feel stupid. If someone in your life is treating you this way such as a friend or your partner, it might be time to try and let that person go. NO ONE should ever make you feel small or not yourself or intentionally hurt you. You deserve reciprocal love. You deserve kindness and tenderness. I hope that Zion’s story is helpful to you and if you have been in a relationship like this you can take comfort in knowing that just as it got better for Zion, healing is possible for you.
