The Gomers are back with a new name, a new logo, new theme music…and two new challenges as they preview Season 4.  Join them as they lay out the details of what they’ll be doing – and what they’re inviting the Gomernation to do – over the next several months or so.  Plus there’s Emmy’s chat, discussion on how and how quickly previously-pregnant people lose weight, and a touching reading of our worst iTunes review ever.  Which has become sort of a tradition for the Gomers as they launch a new season.

It’s the Season 3 finale, and it’s a doozy.  While there are plenty of chances to tangentize (which they do, and we learn the true definition of “amateur” because of it), the guys focus their attention on one topic: What to do with the fact that their goal, publicized in the title of this months-long season, went unmet.  Other questions inevitably follow:  Will they ever do this again?  How does one motivate oneself to keep going?  Can you learn from failure?  Was it failure at all?  Why God?  And of course: Who am I?!

Also, the guys share several final Songs to Run To (and Songs They Ran To), spend some time looking back at this season and seasons past, and start the inevitable conversation of What’s Next?

The Gomers’ Sub-Five Strive at the Minneapolis Marathon has come and gone, and well…they strived!  Join the guys as they begin to process the day of the race, what happened when, why and with whom.  It was a roller coaster of a day, and the Gomers attempt to recreate it in a way that’s honest yet hopeful – a week out, that almost seems possible!  Listen also as they remember their meetings with the Gomernation fondly, and sheepishly try to recall the name of the Gomer Flight Attendant, with no success.

This Episode is fully devoted to the Race in Review, and coming next week is the Runner’s Corner with thoughts concerning how they feel after the fact, then SWR2 (Songs We Ran To), and Gomers in Preview…where they begin to attack the “What’s Next” question.  Hope you enjoy, and Happy Running!

The Gomers are in a rare position:  Both in the same room at the same time.  That’s because in less than a day the season culminates in the Sub-Five, 26.2 effort – and the guys have a lot to say about it.  Thankfully they have the Gomernation’s feedback and thoughts to keep this, their final episode before the race, semi-organized.  It does have a certain feeling of…well…ramdomness, let’s say.  Maybe it has to do with the fact that Gomer2 almost killed Gomer1 last night.  That’s not a joke.
