The Lord Jesus claims equality with God in verse 30. Since the resurrection of our Lord,

Dr. Mitchell then explores the Lord's appeal to the Jew's law in Psalm 82 verse 6 .

In closing out this chapter, John the Baptist who did no sign did speak the truth about the Messiah,

In this passage today, the blind man who now sees is brought before the religious authorities

But Jesus found him and said, "Do you believe in the Son of God?"

With this in view, Dr. Mitchell then introduces John chapter 10 with a survey of Jesus as the Good Shepherd of His sheep.

He will ask several questions for one's consideration.

Can you imagine being blind for the glory of God?

It is interesting to note that this man's neighbors who saw him asked him ‘How were your eyes opened?’

What do you and I focus on?

The Psalmist writes in Psalm 27:1, The LORD is my light and my salvation…."

Dr. Mitchell in discussing this passage, also states three Biblical reasons for sickness and for death.

Does it not seem that their unbelief was being ratified by hearing Him speak the truth?

Jesus asks of those who oppose Him “Which of you convicts me sin?"
