As Dr. Mitchell continues this series on the

Ministry of the Holy Spirit on the Unchanging Word

Bible Broadcast, once again, let’s turn in our

Bible to 1Cor.3 verse 1.

In our study of the Ministry of the Holy Spirit,

Dr. Mitchell will share with us three spheres of

living in which a person may live. He will discuss

these three planes of life.

The aim of this study is to discover in which

sphere or plane of living you and I may be living

in at this time.

Our study begins in First Corinthians chapter 2

verse 14 thru chapter 3 verse 3. Here Dr.

Mitchell takes a look back at the church in

Corinth to show the difference between what the gifts and calling they possessed and their position before God contrasted with their actual life they were living within the church.

As Dr. Mitchell continues this series on the Ministry of the Holy Spirit on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast let’s turn in our Bible to

1Cor.2 verse 14.

The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast begins this

series concerning the Biblical truth of the

Ministry of the Holy Spirit, the third person of

the Trinity.

The Bible states that the Holy Spirit is Himself

God found in Acts 5:3-4.

The Bible declares that every Christian has a

relationship to the Holy Spirit.

This Biblical exposition of the Scriptural teaching

on the Ministry of the Holy Spirit will reveal what

this relationship is.

Dr. Mitchell begins with a simple overview of

this study examining the utter necessity of the

Holy Spirit to lead and guide a person into the

knowledge of truth. Spiritual matters concerning

the Christian’s life and salvation from sin is

revealed thru the ministry of the Holy Spirit of

God.

Dr. Mitchell begins this series on the Ministry of

the Holy Spirit on the Unchanging Word Bible

Broadcast in 1Cor.2 verse 9

Let’s turn to Exodus 33:11.

Here, Moses is more concerned for the glory of God than for his own personal advantage or for Israel, so the LORD promises to send His angel with Moses.

Dr. Mitchell speaks of the difference between God’s ways and man’s ways.

Dr. Mitchell points out How the LORD spoke to Moses

face to face as a man speaks with his friend.

In the ensuing conversation, Moses cries out, not for

an angel to lead him, but for the personal presence of the LORD Himself to lead him on this journey. And, God showed Him His glory. Moses wanted to know God’s ways.

Jesus Himself promises us too, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Mat.28:20

Dr. Mitchell explains more, on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. Let’s open our Bible to Exodus 33.

Dr. Mitchell now turns to Exodus 32. He explains why he decided to skip the intervening chapters of Exodus. His concern is for vital spiritual lessons for our daily living and relationship with the Living God found in chapter 32.

In Exodus 32, we will hear the children of Israel wanting a visible God to worship. So they asked Aaron to make them gods to go before them.

Dr. Mitchell points out that people want something to see and feel which turns one away from walking with the Lord by faith. Remember the things of the world are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. which are not from the Father.

Do we not walk by faith rather than by sight?

Dr. Mitchell explains more, on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. Let’s open our Bible to Exodus 32.

As we continue in Exodus chapter 8 verse 12, hear Moses’ father-in-law give him counsel on an organizational structure that would benefit both Moses and the people who came to him to learn about God.

In view of this, Jethro also told Moses what kind of men he should choose within this structure to help counsel the people. They were to be men who fear God, men of Truth hating covetousness. In order to serve him down these men were each to have a personal relationship to the Lord himself and to know the truth. Dr. Mitchell comments:

God does not call us into his service because of our ability but because of His ability. As has been said before God does not call the qualified He qualifies the called. With Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast let's open our Bible To Exodus chapter 18 vs 12.

With Dr. Mitchell's concern for spiritual lessons

in Exodus, we continue in chapter 17 verse 8.

In reviewing the battle with the Amalekites, we are

reminded The Lord is our Banner.

Jesus our Savior is our advocate and intercessor and

mediator before God who is also for us. Why would God

be "for" us? Because Christ died and rose again on

our behalf. If God be "for" us, who can be against us?

No one! Christ Himself effectively prays for us that our

faith may not fail. Jesus is Lord and God answers His prayers.

Next, Moses receives counsel from his father in law,

Jethro, a Gentile, about the need for an organizational

structure that addresses Moses's need and that of the people of Israel.

With our teacher, Dr. Mitchell, on the Unchanging Word

Bible Broadcast, let's open our Bible to Exodus chapter 17

verse 8 .

Our study begins in Exodus 17:8.

Dr. Mitchell gives us a short review of previous

lessons and then begins, in verse 8.

Here, Moses writes about the very first war the children of Israel encounter. Moses is on the mountain, interceding for Joshua who is in the valley fighting the battle with the Amalekites.

Dr. Mitchell makes mention of the conflicts the

Christian has with his enemies and the Lord Jesus is interceding for us.

After Joshua's victory, Moses builds an altar.

He names it "Jehovah Nissi" that is "Jehovah is

My Banner" my standard.

Previously, "The LORD is My Healer" Jehovah Rapha is found in Exodus 15:26. There are other names of the LORD found in the scriptures.

With teaching on Christ's intercession on our behalf,

let's open our Bible to Exodus chapter 17

verse 8 with Dr. Mitchell, on the

Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

Let’s open our Bibles to Exodus 17.

We will see in this passage, verses 1-7, how

the LORD provides water to the children of Israel

by way of a miracle.

The LORD gives Moses His instructions on what he is

to do to bring forth water out of the rock. Moses

was merely to take his rod, with which he struck

the waters of the red sea, and strike this rock one time only.

As Hebrews 3:5 says, “Now Moses was faithful in all

God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those

things which were spoken afterward” especially the

things concerning the Lord Jesus.

As we hear, our Lord was struck only once at the

cross when He shed His blood. This is not to be

repeated ever again.

Let’s join Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word

Bible Broadcast, Exodus 17:1.

Our study resumes in Exodus 16:22.

Jesus Himself says, “I am the bread of life. Your

fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died.

This one is the bread which comes down out of

heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.

I Am the living bread.” John 6:48-50

In the Word of God, The Person of the Lord Jesus

Christ as God in the Flesh, His finished work on

the cross and His physical resurrection from the

dead is the manna for the daily life of the Christian

who knows Jesus as their savior.

Our teacher will bring out the difference between

grace and law as the LORD gave the sabbath as a

gift before it became a law with it’s consequences.
