September 23, 2020 Exodus 12:14-28 Prog 23
We continue in Exodus 12 at verse 14. Dr. Mitchell
shares with us more of the meaning of the truth
of the Lord's passover.
The sons of Israel were to eat unleavened bread.
They were to remove all leaven from their homes.
What is leaven? Dr. Mitchell explains in detail what
the word leaven represents in several scriptures.
Putting away leaven from one's life is done
-- not to be saved but because of one's love for
Christ, because one is saved by faith in Jesus
Christ.
Jesus, being the sinless lamb of God, has no leaven
in Himself. He had no sin, did no sin, knew no sin
because in Him was no sin. He was holy, innocent,
undefiled separate from sinners and now exalted
above the heavens.

September 23, 2020 Exodus 12:11-14 Prog 22
The Lord's passover is to be a memorial for Israel
to be celebrated from generation to generation.
It is the Lord's passover who would passover
those who have applied the blood to their lives
when God would strike the land of Egypt.
By means of the destroying angel He would destroy
all the first born of man and beasts. None of
the sons of Israel died because of the blood
applied to their homes.
Dr. Mitchell emphasises that the passover was
one time, forever, never to be repeated.
God was satisfied with the finished work of Christ
on the cross by raising Him from the dead never to
be repeated.
God sees the blood of Christ on you when you
have believed in Jesus Christ. God accounts
you righteous in his relationship with you and
you with Him.

September 21, 2020 Exodus 12:7-10 & 22 Prog 21
God gave the people instructions on what to do
to escape the coming judgment by God. They
were to apply the blood of the lamb to their
door posts. God said that when He sees the blood
He would passover their home and not judge
them with death.
The fact to be noted is the blood needed to be
applied. It was not the blood in the basin that
covered them but the blood applied by faith
that secured their salvation from God's own
judgment. Believing God's Word they escaped
God's judgment.
By placing your faith in Jesus Christ, God
guarantees He will save you from your sins
and His wrath to come.

September 18, 2020 Exodus 12:1-6 Prog 20
Dr. Mitchell will lead us through Ex.12:1-6 in this
lesson.
Having made a distinction between Israel and Egypt,
death to Egypt but life to Israel, the LORD now
tells Moses that now the beginning of
months would begin for the nation of Israel.
Here is where Israel’s 30 day calendar begins
based on the cycle of the moon rather than
the sun.
Also in this passage, the LORD institutes the
passover observance for the nation of Israel.
We are told, that Christ is our passover who
has been sacrificed. 1Cor.5:7.

September 17, 2020 Exodus 10:1 - 11:10 Prog 19
In this lesson, Dr. Mitchell brings out the third
compromise issued by Pharaoh.
Turn to Exodus 10 verse 1 where God brings the 8th
plague on Pharaoh and the land of Egypt. The Lord
brought locusts on the land but the heart of the
King of Egypt continued to harden.
In Ex.10:21 God then brings the 9th plague on the
land. It was a thick darkness so dark that no one
could see on another even up close.
The 10th and last plague is then announced in Ex. 11.
God warned Pharaoh of the coming plague which
would kill all the first born of man and animals.
In the rapture, God will make one final distinction
between His church and this world.
Let’s open our Bible and turn to Exodus 10 verse 1

Dr. Mitchell, Ex.8:25, on the Unchanging Word
Bible Broadcast points our hearts to the prayer of
the Lord Jesus to His Father in John 17. Jesus asks
that His people, although in the world, be kept
from the world. His prayer to the Father is to
keep us from the world, it’s attitudes and desires
which are passing away.
Jesus prays for our separation from the world.
God is faithful to answer our Lord’s prayer.
God always hears and answers Jesus’ prayers.
Is this not a great hope and expectation for you
and me?

September 15, 2020 Exodus 7:10 - 8:25 Prog 17
In this lesson, we see opposition both by imitation and compromise. We are in Exodus 7:10 to 8:25.
Here Moses and Aaron confront Pharaoh with 3
separate miracles from God. But Pharaoh’s magicians
imitated them with their enchantments and magic
arts. They also imitated the first two
plagues. The first of water to blood, the second
of frogs to cover the land, but the could not duplicate
the third plague of lice or nats on the land.
It is at this point the magicians realize that
this plague is from God, the very finger of God.
Dr. Mitchell warns the church of those who
imitate Christ, but are not real believers in the
Lord Jesus Christ who Himself delivers us from
the wrath to come.

September 14, 2020 Exodus 6:27-7:13 Prog 16
In this lesson, our study in Exodus continues in
chapter 6 beginning in verse 27 then we will
venture into chapter 7 verse 13.
In this passage both Moses and Aaron are in their
80’s. The Lord tells them to go to Pharaoh and tell
him to let God’s people go. God is omniscient and
already knows what is in Pharaoh’s heart and what
he will and will not do.
As Dr. Mitchell will point out, behind the scenes
is the devil who challenges God’s purposes for
the children of Israel.
God will in turn challenge the gods of Egypt with
His miracles. The ten plagues in the coming chapters
are each one against one of the gods of Egypt.

The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast is in
Exodus 6:3-26.
In this passage, the LORD reveals Himself to
Moses by His Name Jehovah. This is the great
“I AM who I AM” we learned about in chapter
3.
Jehovah is the unchanging covenant keeping God
in His relationship with the nation of Israel.

In the LORD’s determined intention to deliver His
people Israel from Egypt, He says 7 times, “I
will” with respect to His deliverance of Israel,
His son.

September 10, 2020 Exodus 5:4-6:3 Prog 14
Have your Bible open to Exodus 5 verse 4 to begin
our study.
As Dr. Mitchell points out, Pharaoh manifests
his unbelief and arrogance in not letting the
people of Israel go. In fact, he doubles down on
the people with heavier burdens.
Dr. Mitchell states: Ignorance of God leads to
arrogance.
Ignorance of God comes from Satan keeping men and
women out of the Word of God so as to keep them
from the knowledge of the Son of God,
Jesus Christ.
The believer does not wrestle against flesh and
blood but against principalities and powers who
are against the truth.
Through ignorance of God and His Word, Satan holds
people in bondage to do his will. But God can give
a person repentance which leads to the knowledge
of the truth.
