This week on the podcast Mikki speaks to Beth Maclean, a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia all about iron metabolism. They discuss the importance of iron for our health, the problem of low iron stores (and how this goes unrecognised in many people, particularly women, when we only focus on iron deficiency anemia), the symptoms of iron deficiency and the best way to lift iron stores. They also delve a little into the performance realm, and why iron is important for performance
