Unequal Sequel

UNEQUAL SEQUEL - BONUS REVIEW EPISODE- SCREAM 7~

This week on Unequal Sequel, we’re locking the doors, checking caller ID, and asking the only question that matters: why are we still answering the phone? It’s time for Scream 7 — the latest stab at keeping Ghostface alive and slicing.

We dive into the new targets, the legacy baggage, the increasingly complicated rules of requel culture, and whether this franchise still has something sharp to say — or if it’s just surviving on nostalgia and a very durable mask.

Does Scream 7 reinvent the meta-horror playbook once again, or has the commentary finally caught up with itself? Expect theories, heated debates, suspicious side-eyes at literally everyone, and at least one wildly confident killer prediction.

Because in Woodsboro… it’s never really over.

On a side note we do dive in spoilers but it’s very clear when that happens because we do give out a big warning. So if you don't want it spoiled then stay clear of this episode.

UNEQUAL SEQUEL - BONUS REVIEW EPISODE- 28 YEARS LATER THE BONE TEMPLE~

This week on Unequal Sequel, we’re barricading the doors, checking the perimeter, and returning to a world that absolutely should have stayed quarantined with 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple — the long-awaited sequel that asks the bold question: what if things somehow got even worse?

Join us as we dig into Nia DaCosta’s grim, rage-soaked return to the infected apocalypse, where time has marched on, civilization has not recovered, and someone thought building a temple out of bones was a reasonable next step. We unpack new survivors, new horrors, and a Britain that has fully accepted that hope is optional and survival is mostly vibes.

Does The Bone Temple expand the mythology in meaningful ways, or is it just another brutal reminder that running very fast is not a long-term plan? Expect bleak imagery, feral energy, heated debates about legacy sequels, and at least one conversation about whether humanity deserved a third chance in the first place.

Is 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple a haunting evolution of the franchise, or just nihilism with better cinematography? Let’s find out — one unequal sequel at a time.

On a side note we do dive in spoilers but it’s very clear when that happens because we do give out a big warning. So if you don't want it spoiled then stay clear of this episode.

UNEQUAL SEQUEL - BONUS REVIEW EPISODE- AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH~

This week on Unequal Sequel, we’re holding our breath, syncing our queues, and diving back into Pandora for Avatar: Fire and Ash — the sequel that asks, once again, what if colonialism was bad… but in even higher frame rates?

Join us as we explore James Cameron’s latest return to his extremely wet (and now apparently very fiery) alien playground, unpacking new tribes, new elements, and a fresh round of humans who absolutely did not learn their lesson last time. Does Fire and Ash meaningfully evolve the Avatar saga, or is it just blue déjà vu with better tech and angrier vibes?

Expect big visuals, bigger lore dumps, passionate debates about runtime, and at least one existential crisis over why this franchise makes billions while everyone insists they don’t care.

Is Avatar: Fire and Ash a bold new chapter, or just another gorgeous screensaver with delusions of grandeur? Let’s find out — one unequal sequel at a time. 🌊🔥

On a side note we do dive in spoilers but it’s very clear when that happens because we do give out a big warning. So if you don't want it spoiled then stay clear of this episode.

UNEQUAL SEQUEL - S09 E12 - The Big Christmas Crossover~

This week, Dave and Rich are joined by the brilliant Harley from the Fandomentals Podcast and the hilarious Ian and Graham from The Podcast Nobody Asked For for a very special (and somewhat chaotic) Christmas Crossover Special. In a Franchise Face Off Quiz hosted by Harley its time to see which of the two almost identical sets of podcast hosts will come out on top.

As always, it’s funny, unpredictable, and unmistakably Unequal.

Don't forget to also listen to Fandomentals - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/fandomentals/id1521728883

and The Podcast That Nobody Asked For - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-podcast-nobody-asked-for/id1531618753

Let’s hit play with The Big Christmas Crossover.
