Today’s interview for the Millionaire Secrets Podcast is with recent college graduate and serial entrepreneur; Trevor Oldham.

Trevor isn’t your average college graduate.

At only 23 years old, Trevor has managed to pay off his $90,000 student loan in only 1 year.

So how did he do it?

Instead of finishing his degree and getting a regular 9-5 job, Trevor pursued a string of successful entrepreneurial endeavors.

When he was young, he used to go door-to-door selling lemonade. He also mowed lawns and bought and sold baseball cards - anything he could do to make money on his own.

In college, he started a dropshipping company from his dorm room.

Soon after, he started Become The Lion, a top-ranking motivational blog where he accumulated 600,000 followers in less than a year. At the same time, he launched a podcast interviewing extremely successful entrepreneurs.

With this wealth of experience under his belt, he launched his current venture: Podcasting You, a company that helps identify and schedule guests for podcasters.

Trevor has helped both guests and podcasters increase their leads, attract new customers, and grow their brands.

Speaking from my experience, I can tell you podcasting is a tough gig that requires a lot of help and expertise.

But the pay-off is huge. It’s how I’ve managed to grow my personal brand and achieve the success I have today.

On today’s Millionaire Secrets podcast I chat with Stacy Tuschl, founder of The Foot Traffic podcast (over 1 million downloads) and The Foot Traffic Formula digital program.

Stacy is an interesting guest because she’s transitioned from the brick & mortar realm of entrepreneurship to the digital one.

And she’s made millions in both!

Her journey into the business world started just as she was ending college.

Stacy always had a passion for teaching dance. Her love for it stretched so far that she actually taught dance classes for free at her parent’s home.

A healthy class of 17 students soon turned into a booming school of 100.

And she was still teaching it for free

Luckily for Stacy, she comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Her parents took her aside one day and pointed out that she had a legitimate business opportunity staring her in the face!

And so Stacy’s first dance studio was born.

It didn’t take long before one studio became two. (A 7-figure business in its own right!)

And shortly after that…

She took her first steps into the world of online business. Stacy now teaches other brick and mortar business owners to make the transition from the real world to the…

...digital world.

Today’s guest on the Millionaire Secrets podcast is Jimmy (Jimmy) Veerland.

Jimmy is co-founder of Cashflow Tactics, owns a real estate investment company, and has flipped over 100 houses in a single year.

Jimmy’s also a US-Army Ranger veteran, having served in the theaters of Iraq and Afghanistan respectively.

It’s in Afghanistan that Jimmy’s entrepreneurial journey started.

After reading the book Rich Dad Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki, Jimmy began sending money home for his mother and brother to buy up property rental deals.

Leaving the Rangers, he didn’t jump straight into entrepreneurship.

In fact, he grabbed a 9-5...

Working a high paying corporate sales job selling medical equipment. On the side, he continued to build up his growing empire of property rentals, until one day...

After 9 years in the army, and 8 years working a 9-5, he finally decided to take the leap of faith into…

...entrepreneurship.

By this time he’d grown his portfolio to 60 rentals.

Sounds impressive. And it is. But as full-time businessman Jimmy started to scale to 100 rentals…

...this is when the entrepreneurial world dealt him his first hard lessons.

Again, it goes back to having that idyllic retirement you think you’re going to have. I know 55-year-olds with $600k saved for retirement and they think it’s enough.

I tell them...put another 0 on that. You’ll need it.

Today’s guest on the Millionaire Secrets podcast is a special one.

Mike is a serial entrepreneur and veteran of the game - having started out in business almost 25 years ago.

Mike was not a natural entrepreneur. He sucked at sales and was super-shy.

But he was driven to succeed by the pain of not feeling good enough and wanting to prove people wrong.

Even so...

...he struggled and failed in his first ventures for almost 5 years.

It was only when he stopped chasing opportunity and started chasing skills did his life change fast.

From waiting tables at P.F. Chang’s to 7 figure business owner in 18 months.

With that first wave of success, Mike went on to write a short piece called The Coffee House Letter.

Randomly...

...a young jazz musician named Jeff, in $500k’s worth of debt, just happened to read that letter - and it changed his life forever.

Indeed, if I hadn’t read that letter...

I wouldn’t be here today running ENTRE. In fact, I wouldn’t have even met my lovely wife Jaqueline and started our beautiful family. A crazy thought!

I owe a lot to Mike. The ripple effect is real.

I mentioned that Mike is a serial entrepreneur.

His success formula? Asking smart questions and solving smart problems.

Since 2014, he’s been working on a hydroponics business that hoped to solve the problem of overly-expensive organic fruit and vegetables. A robot farm for the kitchen was the dream.

The stress of this business led Mike to suffer some health issues and it’s caused a great deal of reflection and self-discovery.

An extra special episode of Millionaire Secrets for you today, as I’m joined by my wife, Jaqueline.

I get a lot of questions about how I manage to juggle a happy home life whilst working crazy hours and being dedicated to ENTRE. Many of these questions focus on the relationship Jaqueline and I have with our kids and how we parent.

How to be a best friend for your teenage children.

It’s something that most parents struggle with. Many well-intentioned parents find their kids shutting down, becoming moody, distant, and unfriendly.

From early on...

We knew we didn’t want that to happen in our family.

When our sons were still only 10 and 9, we started going to parent therapy sessions to learn how to be great parents in the years ahead.

One thing that our therapist said that really had an impact on us was,

Once your child turns 14, their friends are the biggest impact on their lives - not you.

And this is where so many parents get it wrong. They fight against it.

They fail to let go.

If you’re worried about losing a grip on your teenager then it’s time to look inward. Your child is always a mirror of you.

But Jeff, it’s too late for me. My kid is already 16 and he’s aloof, grumpy, and distant.

What do I do to create a tighter relationship with him?

We cover that.

Jaqueline has been doing this a lot longer than me - I was late to the party. She has some great advice on how you can heal the bonds with your teenagers.
