Today’s interview for the Millionaire Secrets podcast is with Ron Douglas, a bestselling author in the cooking niche. Ron has sold over 1.5 million cookbook copies in total - including 800,000 of his first book - America’s Most Wanted Recipes.

It was a pleasure to have Ron on the show.

Ron is old school - starting off his online entrepreneurial journey back in 2001.

At the time, he was working a full-time corporate job at JPMorgan in NYC.

From a mainstream perspective…

Ron was living the dream.

He’d landed a top job in an industry that could make him very wealthy indeed. But he was planning his exit from day one.

He’d always dreamt of being an entrepreneur. Every evening and every weekend, he was at his computer trying to build an online income.

But not just any online income.

Ron wanted to build something around his passion - cooking.

Now, there is a constant debate in the entrepreneurial sphere as to whether you should follow your passion or not in business. Well, Ron did. And he did very well from it indeed.

It wasn’t long before he’d replaced his 9-5 income with his online income.

His first book: America’s Most Wanted Recipes has since sold 800,000 copies.

Collectively, his books have sold over 1.5 million copies.

But…

There’s more to Ron’s success than just book sales.

In this incredibly interesting interview, we learn how Ron built an entire community around his love for cooking. He was a pioneer in the skills of Google Adwords, email marketing, and membership forums.

The best thing about all of this?

He learned how to become great at marketing good cooking. And that’s what made him a multi-millionaire.

I’ve got to tell you, listening to Todd speak today gave me a little shiver of excitement.

The words he spoke were just so true for my own personal journey. The Jeff Lerner you see today was initially a character I had to play.

You see, I’m actually a huge introvert.

I had to become somebody else. A different Jeff. In order to build ENTRE as you know it today.

And that’s what Todd and I talk about.

Creating and stepping into your success character.

Todd first started studying and developing the idea of a success character when he began working with professional athletes several decades ago.

Todd calls it the performance persona.

He noticed a consistent theme between many of the best elite athletes.

It was a personality trait. A character trait.

They would literally become somebody else when they stepped out into the arena to do battle.

The idea that there is a single-self is something that the self-help and psychology fields have been pushing for close to a century.

Todd disagrees strongly.

We all wear different masks in different parts of our lives.

When building a business and stepping into the world of entrepreneurship for the first time…

...you need to create a new mask. A new character.

Your...success character.

What an interview I have for you on the Millionaire Secrets Podcast today!

I talk with 31-year-old entrepreneur and multi-millionaire Nathan Hirsch.

Nathan is the founder of the hugely popular freelancer/outsourcing platform FreeUp.net and the outsourcing management/training business OutsourceSchool.com.

His journey began at 15…

When he started working minimum wage jobs.

By the time he hit college Nathan already knew he needed to become an entrepreneur.

The idea of having a boss was not an option.

A few successful entrepreneurial experiments in college in his early 20s came and went before Nathan discovered...outsourcing.

Or more accurately…

Seeing many businesses struggle to scale with poor staffing hires and the limitations of some of the existing freelance platforms…

...Nathan jumped into the world of outsourcing. FreeUp was born.

Today’s interview for the Millionaire Secrets Podcast is with my good pal Cody Hofhines.

We really dig deep into the psychology of success today and visit some pretty dark places in Cody’s journey to becoming a real estate millionaire.

In 2008 / 2009 Cody was flat broke.

With two young children to feed and bills coming in, he was only scraping by on $19k per year.

Coming home from work one night, he found his wife crying at the kitchen table.

The reason for her tears? Their finances. With the bills coming in, there was no way to survive for another month.

This was Cody’s breaking point.

Enough was enough.

He promised he’d find a way to make a good life for his young family and give back to the community.

And that’s exactly what he did.

He found a way out.

A way to get started in real estate - even though he had zero in the bank.

Funny thing is, Cody looks back on that tough time as being the complete making of him.

Great things come from hitting rock bottom.

I agree.

The leverage caused by pain can be the rocket fuel you need for success.

This truly is one of the most motivational Tony Robbins style interviews I’ve done in a while.
