Marlee Davenport was born missing 9 of 12 ribs on her right side, causing severe scoliosis and her right lung to be abnormally small. At 10 days old, she had her first of 22 surgeries, and she'll need continued care throughout her life. Marlee has kept a positive attitude despite the medical challenges she has faced. Her advice to other facing challenges is to "Just keep smiling". Marlee loves horseback riding, gymnastics and soccer.

Christian Guardino is a 17-year-old singer who competed last year on America's Got Talent and made it to the semifinals. Christian was diagnosed with Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) as an infant, and his vision continually declined as he got older. At 13, he entered the RPE65 gene therapy clinical trial being conducted by the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Spark Therapeutics. Since then, Christian has enjoyed a 75–80 percent improvement in his vision. Currently, Christian is serving as a Champion for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Chloe says while she remembers being sick, she doesn't like to talk about it because she's a new person.
