This week we’re bringing you a special ‘From the Archives’ episode of the V8 Sleuth Podcast powered by Repco featuring an interview with the late Harry Firth. Recorded in February 2008 by the National Library of Australia, Firth talks about his early life growing up in Gippsland, where his interest in mechanical things came from, his time as a dispatch rider and mechanic in the Army during World War II, and how all those experiences shaped the legend that became known as the ‘Fox’. Firth also talked about his early years in motorsport and the first running of the ‘Great Race’ at Phillip Island in 1960.
