We have now been through 2 years of the Biden administration immigration policies. The result-- Last week it was reported by the Washington Times that the Department of Homeland Security released more than 1,100 illegal immigrants with criminal records from its detention facilities in December as it sought to make room for a border surge that never materialized. Now the Department of Homeland Security is declaring victory over the border crisis.--Joining Jim for an update on this issue was Mark Krikorian. Mark is a nationally recognized expert on immigration issues serving as the Executive Director of Center for Immigration Studies.--Mark described immigration as a federal government program like farm subsidies or small business loans. From time to time it needs to be revisited to see whether it needs to be shrunk, increased or changed in some way.--So what did President Biden do-- When he was running for office he promised to undo everything the Trump administration did regarding immigration. Mark noted that when a different party comes in they have different goals. So even though the opposition was warned and were aware that if they undid Trump's policies it would create a disaster at the border, Mark communicated that they basically -whistled past the graveyard,- took a -wishful thinking- approach, and things didn't work out.--For example, they got rid of the -Remain in Mexico- program. This meant that people applying for asylum could submit their application if they came in illegally and through a port of entry, but they had to wait on the Mexico side of the border for their hearing date.

Twila Brase is the president and co-founder of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom. She's a registered nurse, a certified public health nurse, and author of the eight-time award-winning book, Big Brother in the Exam Room- The Dangerous Truth About Electronic Health Records. She's the speaker on the daily Health Freedom Minute heard on stations across the nation.--Yesterday the White House reported that President Joe Biden intends to end the COVID-19 national and public health emergencies. This won't happen today, nor will it happen retroactive to September 18th of 2022 when he said on the 60 Minutes TV program that the pandemic is over. Instead, he will end the emergencies over 3 months from now on May 11th, 2023. Why then----Twila noted that since the Republicans are now in charge of the House, they are clamoring for the end of the emergency declarations, so she believes Biden wants to claim to be the one who ended it rather than letting the Republicans force his hand.--Could this be due to some legislative activity-- For instance, there's HR-382-The Pandemic is Over Act as well as HR-497-The Freedom for Healthcare Workers Act. This latter piece of legislation removes the vaccine mandate on healthcare workers around the nation. As Twila explained, the Biden administration has been clinging to the mandate that communicates that as a condition of participation in Medicare and federal programs, all healthcare providers and workers have to be vaccinated or they will be terminated unless they meet an exemption. This act would completely eliminate the mandate and let workers go back to their jobs and let hospitals be more fully staffed.

This past Christmas, many of you received a Bible for Christmas. What will you do with your old one-- Are you aware that there's a ministry that collects used Bibles and distributes them to people around the world who are praying that somehow, someone might send them a Bible because they lack the resources to purchase a new one-- --To discuss how you can meet this critical need, Jim welcomed back Jason Woolford. Jason is the president - executive director of Mission Cry.--The average home has over 7 Bibles sitting unused so Jason encourages people from around the U.S. to send those to Mission Cry. Once sent, they go through a sorting process, they get packaged, boxed, put on pallets, and then into sea containers. Then throughout distribution points these materials are given away absolutely free. Mission Cry has sent over 410 million dollars worth of free used Bibles and Christian books to over 178 nations around the world. --Their missionary in China reported that Apple and Android Bible apps have been removed there for those that can have a phone. According to this missionary, this means the printed form of the Word of God is more necessary now than ever before.--Jason explained that the containers are the 20 foot units that you see on large ships. They are filled with 10 pallets. Just last year, Mission Cry sent English Bibles to 24 different nations and the need for Bibles is greater than the number Mission Cry has on hand.--Donated Bibles will get into the hands of those attending seminaries and Bible colleges, prisons, orphanages, schools, evangelists, and missionaries who are native to that particular country.

Here's a selection of news stories that Jim brought to the attention of listeners to wrap up the week-----Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the anniversary of the liberation by Soviet troops of the Auschwitz-Berkenau concentration camps.----Nearly one-quarter of Dutch adult millennials and youth of Generation -Z- believe that the holocaust is a myth or that the numbers of those who were killed by the Nazis was inflated.----The United Arab Emirates is rapidly becoming a friend of Israel and to the Jews thanks to the Abraham Accords.----Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson and Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley have demanded that the National Archives provide information about its involvement, knowledge, and role in the discovery of classified documents at various locations. ----Senator Tom Cotton, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said he and other Republicans will hold up President Biden's nominees until the administration shares with Congress the classified documents seized at the Biden's Delaware home, his Washington office, and former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.----Former Vice President Mike Pence notified the National Archives last Wednesday that a small batch of classified documents were found at his residence in Indiana. ----The National Archives is formally requesting former presidents and vice presidents to recheck their personal records for any classified documents or other presidential records.----The Biden think tank at the University of Pennsylvania, where the president stashed classified documents, didn't just have lax security, it also hosted events in partnership with organizations that promoted closer engagement with China.

As many of you know, the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision that the Supreme Court released on June 24th has taken abortion back to the states. Many already had laws on the books protecting human life in the womb and banned abortion. Other states, without such protections, have taken this opportunity to advance legislation to protect life. Tragically, there have been states that have put pre-born children in the cross-hairs of their scope. Such is the case with legislation that has been swiftly moving this month in the state of Minnesota. - -Appearing on Crosstalk to bring listeners the details was Moses Bratrud. Moses is director of communications with Minnesota Family Council.--The legislature in Minnesota had just been sworn in on January 3rd when a very destructive piece of legislation was introduced the next day in the Senate. Senate File 1 -SF-1- is known as the Protect Reproductive Options Act -PRO Act-. Moses explained that this would put in Minnesota statute the right to abortion right up to the moment of birth.

Athletes from youth to college age have collapsed or died suddenly. A surfer standing on his board suddenly collapses into the water for no apparent reason. A middle school teacher collapses in front of her class and dies. An airline pilot becomes incapacitated shortly after takeoff and later dies. A news executive, a kindergarten student, and an American Idol contestant...all die suddenly. --What's going on here-- Is there any connection to COVID-19 or the shots-- How long can we expect this to continue----To help provide answers, Crosstalk welcomed back Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet. Dr. Vliet is the president and CEO of Truth for Health Foundation, a non-profit public charity. Since February 2020, she's been part of the team of frontline physicians treating COVID early at home.--Dr. Vliet believes the sudden deaths have a direct link primarily to the COVID shots. She noted that the toxicity of the shots was known 20 years ago but they went ahead with them anyway. Interestingly, she also pointed out that in the case of these shots, good, safe, manufacturing processes have basically been thrown out the window.--When reviewing this Crosstalk you'll hear Dr. Vliet go into detail as she explains how the SARS-CoV-2 virus was engineered to be more lethal in the bio-weapons laboratory and to increase the inflammatory as well as the blood clotting response. This was done beginning at the University of North Carolina and then continuing on at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.--When the shots were rolled out, the public wasn't told that transmission prevention hadn't been studied nor were they told of the adverse effects.

Back on December 13th, the guest on this Crosstalk was interviewed about a critical case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court dealing with patient rights. The case is Allen Gahl v. Aurora Healthcare, Inc. --Questions in this case remain. What authority does a medical power of attorney hold-- What are patients rights when a hospital refuses a standard of care that the patient or his representative requests-- --Returning to Crosstalk to discuss this case was Karen Mueller. Karen is the founder - general counsel for Amos Center for Justice and Liberty. She's the lead attorney in this case representing Allen Gahl.--Allen Gahl is the nephew of, and medical power of attorney for, John Zingsheim. John became the focus of this case in October of 2021. He was admitted to Aurora Summit Hospital in Waukesha County where he was diagnosed with COVID. He wanted to be given Ivermectin, so Allen began requesting that from the hospital, however, they refused. --In a two day conference hearing with lawyers, a judge decided that John had a right to get Ivermectin as long as it was an outside doctor that the family found that could be credentialed, enter the hospital, and administer the Ivermectin.--Before the order could be fulfilled, the appellate court intervened and stayed the order on the granting of the Ivermectin. --Oral arguments in this case were presented before the Wisconsin Supreme Court a week ago. These arguments were not about what treatment is best for COVID-19. Instead, Karen argues that this case is about the health care power of attorney and the rights that the legislature had given to Wisconsin citizens.

Wade decision and declared this Sunday, January 22nd, as a day to honor the 50th anniversary of that decision.----An investigation by the U.S. Supreme Court has failed to identify the culprit who leaked a draft court decision that signaled the overturning of Roe v. Wade.----The FBI expanded their reward for those who provide information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of persons involved in at least 78 attacks on pro-life organizations since the leak of the Dobbs decision.----The newly minted Minnesota legislature has signaled its priorities by their very first order of business. HF-1 will enshrine a so-called right to unrestricted abortion up to birth in that state.----Hundreds of thousands of people are in Washington, D.C., today for the 50th annual March for Life.----UK authorities have fined a father and military veteran for praying for his deceased son, and doing so near an abortion facility.----New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that a city-run clinic in the Bronx will begin to offer free abortion pills to women, with plans to expand the program to 3 more clinics by the end of the year. ----New data released by the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics shows more deaths than births in 2022.----A top leader of the U.N. has urged politicians to make unpopular decisions that may benefit their people in the long run after making a special address at the World Economic Forum in Davo, Switzerland on Wednesday.
