VERY DELTA with Delta Work

Gay comedian and unapologetic margarita slut Jake Cornell stops by the show today! Delta loves him so much she once ordered a personal Cameo just to bask in his brilliance. The two hit it off instantly, bonding over the universal nightmare that is modern air travel: stinky snacks, screaming toddlers, and absolutely clueless passengers. Jake also shares a controversial opinion: he thinks the chicken quesadilla from Taco Bell might be one of society’s greatest achievements. Bold. Discuss. Plus, Delta goes off on loud cars. It’s 2AM on a Tuesday… why does your busted exhaust sound like a drag race outside her window? Kindly f*ck off!

Get ready to laugh your ass off because today’s guest is the iconic drag king from the new hit series King of Drag, now streaming on Revry…it’s Tenderoni! He joins Delta to dish on drag performances gone wrong, telenovelas, and his love for Michelle Visage. Tenderoni also spills the tea on what it was like filming King of Drag, and the two dive into a hilarious chat about drag names they love (and hate). Together, they even dream up a Drag King persona for Delta! Plus, Delta takes a moment to reflect on the great mystery of our time: What is a Labubu? Does she like them? Does she not? One thing’s certain… she’s not here to yuck your yum!

Delta’s good Judy from back in the day swings by for a heartfelt conversation… it’s Rodney Chester! You know Rodney from the groundbreaking early 2000s gay series Noah’s Arc, where he played Alex. Rodney chats about the brand-new movie now streaming on Paramount+, Noah’s Arc: The Movie, before he and Delta take a deep dive into their shared past: Peanuts Nightclub, Miss Black Universe, and so much more! Plus, Delta goes off about the word “no.” It’s totally okay to say no… people should be using it more often!

Today's guest is a force to be reckoned with — it’s BenDeLaCreme! DeLa chats about some of her favorite people: Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Jennifer Tilly. Delta and DeLa also dive into iconic television shows from the past, The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show, and even the possibility of Very Delta: The Musical?! Plus, Delta shares her iconic Souplantation story (iykyk) and sounds off about people constantly asking, “Drop the lip combo!” — Do they actually care, or are they just saying it to say it?

American Idol alum and queer icon David Archuleta joins us on the show today! Not only does he bless us with his heavenly voice, but he also opens up about his Idol journey, coming out, and his appreciation for Latin men. Delta spills the tea on why the Very Delta set has officially ditched water bottles for glassware… let’s just say a certain Real Housewife inspired the switch. The two also dive into some delightfully gay fan mail all about rainbows. And yes… David does sing the “Reading Rainbow” theme song. You’re welcome. Plus, Delta needs Subway to know: she does NOT want her sandwich toasted!

Get ready for some seriously good energy because Dr. Jon Paul Higgins is in the house! They’re Black, fat, femme, and ready to gab it UP with Delta! Jon opens up about writing their new book, calls out hateful politicians, and takes a nostalgic detour through the good ol’ Inland Empire. (Are you more Ontario Mills or Victoria Gardens?) Delta and Jon also debate their favorite donuts….will it be Randy’s Donuts or Voo Doo Doughnuts? Plus, Delta masticates on camera! She bites into a fortune cookie and then unleashes on Panda Express. Why is everyone yelling in there?! Calm down baby… it’s just super greens.

Music makes the people come together, and today DJ Brynn Taylor joins the show to keep the party going. Brynn and Delta dive into their shared love of music, with Brynn opening up about her experiences DJing across Southern California, the California Lottery, and some wild encounters with drunken club goers. Delta also gets Brynn’s input on the Very Delta Pride Playlist… have you streamed it yet? According to Brynn, it could use a few more lesbians. The two also dig into some fan mail and question why straight women keep playing in lesbians' faces. And of course, Delta shares her thoughts on pride parades. Will she brave the porta-potty at Pride? Tune in to find out.

Our Pride series keeps on slaying with none other than Southern California drag royalty, Ivy Colby! Ivy sits down with Delta to talk about the art of being a proud bar queen, the importance of drag competitions, and the unmistakable power of a bangle bracelet. And to the men out there… consider this your warning: these queens will gladly take your money and sit on your face!! Plus, what would a “Read Me, Delta” segment be without an iconic Labearja letter? We’ve got you covered, honey. And Delta? She’s in HEAT (literally). You think she hates hot weather? Just wait until you hear this monologue.

It’s Pride, and we’re ready to celebrate! Kicking off our month-long Very Delta Pride series is none other than U.S. Congressman Robert Garcia. Let’s get political, baby! The Congressman joins Delta to chat about his time as mayor of Long Beach, hot dogs on the House floor, and what it means to be the first gay immigrant elected to Congress. Plus, Delta and the Congressman discuss George Santos and Marjorie Taylor Greene—yikes! Delta also breaks down the ever-evolving world of gay verbiage. Does she say girl, gurl, or gworl? One thing’s for sure: you won’t catch her saying “girlie pop” anytime soon!
