It’s Monday and fans are asking, “should we feel good about that win?” Your Minnesota Vikings came from behind with 37 seconds left to beat the Detroit Lions 19-17 at home with a Greg Joseph 54 yard kick. Then after the game winning drive, Kirk Cousins interacts enthusiastically with Mike Zimmer. Did a kicker save Zimmer’s job? After 104 yards in the first half, why did Justin Jefferson disappear? Coverage? Why not throw to Adam Thielen and KJ Osborn instead? Alexander Mattison had another awesome day running and catching, but, fumbles leading to the Lions going ahead. All this and more tonight as Tyler and Deshawn with special guest Jared Feinberg from Blue Chip Scouting turning your Monday Purple!

Other talking points for tonight’s show:

-Piss poor in game management

-Pass rush success

-P2 [Patrick Peterson] has best game in purple

-Christian Darrisaw sighting

-We have a kicker?

-Players of the week

The Minnesota Vikings are 1-3 and this is a get right game, right? Can the team without Dalvin Cook ride the legs of Alexander Mattison again? How about the offense, can it go off? Can the defense continue to gel and keep the Detroit Lions out of the endzone? Can the special teams continue their road to being special? We’ll have it all going live right before the final whistle. From fans in the stands to you at home or your favorite watering hole, Matt, Flip and Dave joined by you will be here for your Vikings vs Lions reactions.

The Minnesota Vikings are heading towards a must win game against the Detroit Lions. After the awful defeat by the Cleveland Browns, Darren and Dave will look at what it will take this weekend for the Vikes to win. They should and Vegas has steadily grown the line to 10 points in favor for the Vikings. But what if they don’t?

Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly start a winning streak, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norseman pregame show!

Talking points for the Lions-Vikings preview show:

1) Should the Vikings play Cook against Detroit?

2) Will Barr's return make a big difference?

3) If the Vikings lose on Sunday - should Zimmer lose his job?

4) Griffen, Romeo Okwara and their sack stats the past two season.

5) The Lions hurting o-lineman - Taylor Decker and Frank Ragnow.

Four weeks into the season and all is not well, but there is an opportunity to build a little confidence this Sunday versus the Detroit Lions. Against the Cleveland Browns, the new offense looked similar to the old one. Why? Is the team good enough? Mike Zimmer thinks so.

It’s time for Viking Hot Takes. The FAST MOVING Minnesota Vikings Talk Show. We have Eric Thompson from the Daily Norseman. We’ve got Flip Mazzi from Climbing the Pocket. SO Buckle Up, protect your kneecaps and Let’s GO!

Football is underway! Your favorite team has started its 2021 campaign, the no excuses season. It is time to go further than any other Vikings team before it. Can they? Flip and Eric are here for the 19th episode of Viking Hot Takes on the Climbing The Pocket channel on Thursday night during half-time of the game. Following the usual format of the show, we put the usual 20 minutes on the clock and asked each other three questions:

Flip asks

1. Grade Klint Kubiak’s first four games.

2. Who is the Vikings’ rookie of 1/4 year?

3. Next four games: How many will the Vikings win?

Eric asks

1. Did the Vikings offense get exposed last week, or were the Browns simply a bad matchup?

2. Who are your offensive and defensive MVPs through four games?

3. Will a win over the Lions change your opinion of the team going forward?

Fan with us!!! Talk with Flip Mazzi @Flipmazzi, Eric Thompson @eric_j_thompson, and producer Dave @Luft_Krigare as part of a @Climb_ThePocket Network’s & @DailyNorseman’s production.

The Cleveland Browns came to town, and it was bad for the home town Minnesota Vikings. Their record is presently 1-3 and in third place in the division. Luck has it that the team with the worst record in the division comes to town on Sunday. The Dan Campbell led Detroit Lions and their injured but still feisty selves will try and send the “Fire Mike Zimmer” talk into overdrive. Joining us at the bar tonight is friend of the show, Brandon Crockett. The festivities will surely [or Surly] ensue.
