Virginia Woods-Jack is a British-born photographic artist and curator currently living and working in Aotearoa New Zealand. She is also the founder/curator of Women in Photography NZ & AU.
Virginia's art practice explores notions of connection to place, materiality and memory to consider relationships between the human and more-than-human worlds. By doing so, she aims to understand how memory informs the way people interact with the natural environment to highlight the importance of care in navigating the climate crisis. https://www.virginiawoodsjack.com/
Virginia talks about how she built connections in the UK and Aotearoa early in her career and developed her photographic art practice after uni, the ideas and intentions behind her art practice and her current project Women in Photography NZ and AU, a curated instagram page that celebrates female and non-binary photographers and the ideas behind their work.
