Virtual Professional Learning: Support Educators Anytime, Anywhere

Listen Later

This edWeb podcast is an interview conducted by Larry Jacobs of Education Talk Radio featuring Lisa Schmucki, CEO and Founder, edWeb.net and Melissa Hodgson, Manager of Member Services, edWeb.net.

The pandemic impacted every level and aspect of education. edWeb experienced a steep growth in membership and engagement during the early days of the pandemic, proving that educators were searching for information that was needed to do their jobs during an unprecedented time. One positive effect that came out of the pandemic was the speed at which the education industry and experts pivoted to help teachers in the moment by sharing knowledge through edWeb’s free virtual professional learning platform.  By bringing the education industry, experts, and educators together, edWeb was able to provide that much needed knowledge to teachers and administrators.

In this edWeb podcast, Larry Jacobs of Education Talk Radio and American Consortium for Equity in Education (ACE-Ed.org) interviews Lisa Schmucki, edWeb.net’s Founder and CEO and Melissa Hodgson, edWeb.net’s Manager of Member Services to explore how the pandemic impacted edWeb and the how the education industry swiftly pivoted to provide educators with the professional learning that they needed.  Listeners will hear how the pandemic changed professional learning, how professional learning will change going forward, and the timeliness of using a virtual professional learning platform.

This edWeb podcast is of interest to teachers, librarians, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders of PK-12 and higher education levels.
