VAPA Weekly Updates
Jan. 27, 2019
Hello VAPA Community! This is Dr. Trimis with a few announcements!
Monday is a late-start day. Hola Comunidad VAPA!
¡Este es el Dr. Trimis con algunos anuncios!
El lunes es un día de inicio tardío.
Today is International Holocost Rememberence Day.
"What is done cannot be undone, but one can prevent it
happening again." - Anne Frank (May 7, 1944)
Today and every day, we are stirred by stories of the past,
present-day plights, and possibilities for tomorrow.
Congratulations to Winter Sports teams who are having great seasons and after this week will be heading in to Play-Offs. This week you will have the opportunity to attend a home game to support our Legacy teams every day except Friday.
We have several activities and events coming up as we focus on classroom instruction, our upcoming accreditation visit by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, state assessments, and our school-based SAT. It is critical that our entire school community stay focused, students, families, teachers, and staff, so we meet or exceed our goals including our A-G pass rate and 100% graduation and attendance.
Congratulations and good luck to our VAPA Academic Decathlon Team who are are in the midst of the annual competition with their essay completed this past week, and the all-day exams, speech, interview, and super quiz all taking place this week. Thank you to Coach Avalos and families and friends who are supporting the team.
