In April we commemorate or celebrate Autism Awareness, Jazz Appreciation, the Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, the Military Child, Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy, Child Abuse Prevention, Mathematics Awareness, Poetry, Financial Literacy, Sexual Assault Awareness, Parkinson Awareness, and School Libraries.
Please note ALL juniors will be taking the SAT at Legacy this Tuesday from 8 am to 12:45 pm. Students must be at school by 7:30 am on Tuesday so they may eat before the test which will start promptly at 8 am.
We wish all of our juniors continued success as they complete the Smarter Balanced Assessments this week and next week.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of Little Shop of Horrors, this year’s Spring Musical, which closed Saturday night. Thank you to our directors, Ms. Craig, Mr. Delgado, Mr. Cuevas, and Mr. Patterson. And thank you to the families, friends, and teachers and staff who were in attendance at one of the shows. Coming in May is our 5 evening Spring Fest event, this year expanding to two nights of dance and adding a Film Festival and Mariachi Festival. We will also be presenting this year’s Senior Recital in May which will feature several of our graduating seniors.
Graduation is June 6. Our Summer Arts Intensives will be June 12-18. VAPA is hosting Summer School and the Summer Bridge Program for new 9th Graders, June 19-July 24.
