Why do Catholics and Jews consistently create some of the greatest films in cinematic history, while Protestants and Latter-day Saints often struggle? In this episode of Ward Radio, we break it down with special guest Jeff from Angel Studios: the power of ritual, “3D worship,” symbolism, historical trauma, and deep storytelling traditions that fuel transcendent art. From Catholic liturgy and architecture creating rich subtext, to Jewish holidays packed with meaning and humor forged in suffering, we contrast that with why LDS filmmakers frequently leave the faith in Hollywood — and what we can do about it.Temple experiences as theater training, Gordon B. In this lively episode, Cardon Ellis hosts a discussion with Ryland and Jonah Barnes as they respond to videos and claims made by Dominic Enyart, a young theology YouTuber and son of a theologian. The central topic revolves around Dominic Enyart’s accusations that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS or Mormons) display “cult-like behaviors,” particularly through three main claims: Mormons supposedly teach that disagreement is demonic, always outnumber outsiders in debates, and prioritize emotion over evidence.

In this episode of WARD RADIO, Cardon, Gwyneth and Sage dive into the often bizarre and chaotic world of direct messages (DMs) that LDS content creators, especially women, receive on social media. The conversation is candid, lively, and sometimes hilarious as they read real examples from their inboxes and discuss the experiences that come with online notoriety.

Cardon and Joe reacting to the YouTube video “Crazy Mormon Beliefs” from the channel Illustrated Theology. Together, they provide direct, good-faith responses to criticisms and commonly misunderstood aspects of Mormon (Latter-day Saint) doctrine.
