this is because they are focused simply on what they can get. they get so focused on the digits and the numbers and what they think they can get, but they lose track of how to actually make money. money is a reward for service rendered, and if you can creatively provide value to the world you will start to make more money. this is how you blend the law of attraction with other known principles, so you can get better results.
