  • Episode 21 - USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016)
Well what do you know? Our podcast is old enough to buy itself a beer and get a little buzzed. Speaking of buzzed, the boys watched the 2016 Nic Cage film "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage." Why haven't you heard about this film or the historical event that it was based off of until now? History and mystery, baby. History. And Mystery. Before the boats and sharks and torpedo-talk, the gentlemen discuss Brock's travel abroad, Brian's allergies, more of Brian's allergies, and we might have mentioned that Brian has allergies. While the only thing that Brock is allergic to, is yo' bullsh*t. Bless you, indeed. • Episode 20 - Vengeance: A Love Story (2017)
We're all out of love. We're so lost without you. We knew you were right, believing for so long. Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, we're all out of love for Nic Cage. But what are we without him? We can't be too late, to say that we were so wrong...Look, folks, it's the Castle Period. Brian and Brock plopped their weary bones on down and watched the 2017 rape drama "Vengeance: A Love Story" this week. They both came to the conclusion that this particular movie is in a dog fight with Dog Eat Dog for one of Nic's worst yet. Speaking of dogs, and fights, the boys discuss their childhood musical tastes, they toss up their celebrity crushes, and they play a rollicking game of "Guess What's In Me?"It gets real punchy on this one, folks!Find us on our Social Media, if you're so inclined:Twitter: @WeGaugeCagePodInstagram: @WeGaugeCageYouTube: We Gauge CageAnd, as always, rate and review us on iTunes if you can or haven't already.Good luck with all of these balls that you happen to have in your possession!

  • Episode 19 - Pay the Ghost (2015)
Did you Pay the Ghost? Can we Pay the Ghost? Because if you Pay the Ghost, then you can Pay the Ghost. And then the Ghost is Paid, you see. And...Look, we don't quite get it either, and we actually sat through this turd. That's right. This week the boys watched the 2015 Nic Cage spooky ghost film "Pay the Ghost" (in case you had any misconceptions on the title. It's "Pay the Ghost," by the way.) How many times can we say Pay the Ghost in a podcast description? You'll find out...but only if you Pay the Ghost! Before that, Brian gives us a pupdate on the doggies and takes us Inside Baseball on the restaurant industry, all while Brock has a complete 3-course meal on mic (grilled by his beautiful, amazing, Ghost-Paying, culinarious wife), and discusses his favorite (and ONLY his favorite) reality shows. Anti-Shout out to that b*tch Hildi Santo-Tomas. She can Pay the Ghost, for all we care. Also, there's huge news from the Brock hairstyle front. R-T-L FTW! PTG! • Episode 18 - Time to Kill (1989)
The paddy is officially legal, everybody! Legal to vote, to smoke, to buy itself some naughty magazines, to...I mean, we don't know what 18-yr-olds do with their time nowadays. But on to more important, Cagier things. The boys (eventually) sat down and watched Nic Cage's 1989 Italian film titled Tiempo di Uccidere. Or, "Time to Kill," for the English-speaking layperson. It's a real rapey, leprositic, snooze-inducing romp through the African safari. Before all that, we get a weather update, we get a puppy update, and we discuss the vital differences between farmyard beasts. Will Brian squeal-sing high-pitched love tunes into your earholes? Will Brock chew foodstuffs and make wet mouth sounds? Well, I suppose you'll just have to listen and find out!Find us on our Social Media, if you're so inclined:Twitter: @WeGaugeCagePodInstagram: @WeGaugeCageYouTube: We Gauge CageAnd, as always, rate and review us on iTunes if you can or haven't already. • Episode 17 - G-Force (2009)
Full disclosure, folks. We dropped the ball on this one. Some might say we dropped the...hamster ball. We left a perfectly good "Good Luck With Your Hamster Balls" joke sitting right there, on the table, and we didn't go for it. Maybe it's because we're not that smart. Or funny. Or maybe it's that we're not living up to our full potential. Or...maybe it's because we were distracted by our beautiful, intelligent, quixotic, charming guest this week! That's correct. The boys assembled a team of their own to watch the 2009 animated Nic Cage ensemble film "G-Force." AKA "The Guinea Pig Movie." AKA The "If you get it wrong and say 'Gerbil,' well then you just bought yourself a ticket to see me later in the parking lot, buddy..." film.Brian and Brock are joined by one of their oldest mutual friends, Amanda Flannery Hoppa, to break it down. She lends her keen insight to the film, along with some history and mystery, some background into the storied friendship, and lots (and lots!) of poo talk.
