Buying in the $200k's in 2024! Should You Do It?

Is it impossible to buy properties in the $200,000's in 2024? That's what we're about to find out in this episode!

Tim Watson, property investor and BA, shows us the data and unpacks the numbers! Showing approximately 5,500 properties in Australia are priced within the range of $200,000.

Although there are quite a few available on the market, there is a significant challenge attached to investing in said properties, such as limited growth potential, high strata costs, and reliance on specific industries for growth.

As tempting as it may be to buy a property at this price range, your money would be better put in place if you were to invest in the $350k-$500k range, as it offers better growth potential due to several factors.

It would be wiser to consider saving up for a deposit or increasing your income for better serviceability to access higher-growth markets.

Because, at the end of the day, just because you can doesn't mean you should. Consider long-term growth potential rather than potential pitfalls.
