But what if the aliens leave behind scars on your body that cannot be explained? (They Came Into My Bedroom) *** At the end of the podcast… what’s the deal with Friday the 13th? When did it begin? Is there anything to it? Is there anything we can do about it? IN THIS EPISODE: Engineers working to link Scotland and England with cables on the floor of the ocean have stumbled across an amazing find from Word War 1… a submarine that was sunk due to a sea monster! (The Submarine Sunk by a Sea Monster) *** Paul Bernardo, with the help of his wife Karla Homolka, stalked a Canadian suburb with a number of terrible rapes that were only the beginning of their life of cruelty. They would come to be known as the Ken and Barbie Killers. (The True Horror of the Ken and Barbie Killers) *** When you think of a con artist, you think of slick players like Johnny Hooker and Henry Gondorf from “The Sting”, masters of disguise and ID like Frank Abagnale from “Catch Me If You Can”, or even the mysterious Keyser Söze from “The Usual Suspects”. But I’m guessing what you never picture in your head is a Victorian woman named Madame Rachel. She never got her own movie, but she was the real deal. (The Con Woman Madame Rachel) *** In September 1871, strange and mysterious sights and sounds disturbed and annoyed the teacher and pupils of the male primary school in Charles Street, Newburyport. IN THIS EPISODE: The townsfolk of Beaver County, Pennsylvania saw something very strange in 1966 – and now, so many decades later, it’s just as much of a mystery as it was the day the encounter occurred. (The Unsolved Sighting in 1966) *** Some are beloved favorites like “The Wizard of Oz”, others you may never have seen, like Atuk. Some are dark in tone like “Poltergeist”, or heroic like the first Superman movie starring Christopher Reeve. But one thing all of these films and the others I’ll share in this episode have in common is that they are all supposedly cursed. (Infamously Cursed Films) *** But first… some believe them to be ghosts, others feel they are creatures or even humans from a different dimension. Still others believe they are demonic entities. Whatever the truth about what they are, the one thing everyone agrees about is that an encounter with a shadow person is undeniably terrifying. We begin with that story. “DRAGONS, SLAYERS, AND A DINO BOAT RIDE” #ChurchOfTheUndead #WeirdDarkness
In the last story of today’s episode of Weird Darkness entitled “Knights, Dragons, and Dino DNA”, we put forth the idea of dragons actually being dinosaurs – and what I’m sure many felt was the absurd notion of man and dinosaurs living at the same time. So in this episode of Church of the Undead, we’ll look at the possibility of dragons truly existing, a few of the legends – and possible truths behind those legends – dinosaurs and Noah’s flood, and we’ll look at one of the most famous dragon-slayers of all time.

IN THIS EPISODE: The Phaistos Disc was discovered in 1903, by Italian archaeologists in southern Crete. Since then the disc has remained a mystery as no one has been able to decipher the writings upon it, nor who made the object, what was it used for, and even if it’s a genuine archaeological discovery or a clever fake. (The Phaistos Disc) *** Usually you learn that a place is haunted simply because people say it is. It’s common knowledge around the town or neighborhood… but when the government of your country says a place is haunted, you’d better danged well listen. Such is the case with India’s Bhangarh Fort. (Bhangarh Fort – The Most Haunted Place in India) *** At the end of 1894 French army captain Alfred Dreyfus, a graduate of the École Polytechnique, and a Jew of Alsatian origin, was accused of handing secret documents to the Imperial German military. After a closed trial, he was found guilty of treason and sentenced to life imprisonment on the dreaded Devil’s Island. But that’s just the beginning of the story that later became known as The Dreyfus Affair. (The Dreyfus Affair) *** We’ve all heard of the power of the mind – it’s been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of pain, some well-trained individuals can use their mind to slow their rate of respiration, to bring their heartbeat down to almost nothing with no long-term ill effects… but what about controlling things outside of your own body? Is the mind that powerful? Some believe so – and they also believe it’s one possible explanation for hauntings. (The Wild PK of the Poltergeist) *** Is it possible that our history books are wrong and that humans actually did walk with dinosaurs? It might not be as far-fetched as it sounds, especially when you look at tales of knights, dragons, and T-Rex DNA. (Knights, Dragons, and Dino DNA) *** We’ll have a short tale about Joseph Naples… who chose the macabre career of being a grave digger… but only because it made it easier for him to be a grave robber… and a body snatcher. HOUR ONE (from the 6/23/2021 podcast): Sadly, the past is gone and cannot be changed – nor can we see into the future to prepare for what’s to come. We live in the here and now, and that is a constant. Or… is it? We’ll look at the mystery of time slips. (On The Edge of Time) *** Edvard Munch’s painting “The Scream” from 1892 is a masterpiece of the macabre – and when you hear him describe the piece and his inspiration for it, you’ll realize the painting is a lot closer to the artist’s life than anyone would want. (Curing Edvard Munch) *** Have you ever wondered why ghosts in the movies are so often female? What makes female ghosts scarier than male ghosts? I mean aside from that whole “a woman scorned” thing? We’ll look at some famous – and infamous female ghosts and urban legends around the world. (Infamous Female Ghosts and Urban Legends) *** AND MORE!

HOUR TWO (from the 6/25/2021 podcast: The movie, The Sixth Sense, has become a worldwide meme with the phrase “I see dead people”. But for one family in Britain, it’s not a joking matter. (My Children See dead People) *** Barbara and Patricia Grimes were murdered in 1956, but new clues have raised hopes the killer might still be caught. (The Unsolved Murder of the Grimes Sisters) *** “In space, no one can hear you scream” – not just a movie tagline, but reality for astronauts reporting some of the strangest things they’ve encountered while outside our atmosphere. (Space Cases) *** Rosemary’s Baby was a hit novel that became an iconic film, only to bring woe to nearly everyone who made it. We’ll look at the film which many people believe to be cursed.
