IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE WITH STORIES FROM JUNE 2018: For years the doctors couldn’t figure out why Wally was coughing so much, why his skin cracked and bled, turning the bedsheets red. They prescribed ointments, antibiotics, decongestants, pain killers. His guts ached for years, too, and even morphine didn’t help the pain. He died a wraith, 73 years old. The government says it has no idea what happened to him, but then that’s because he worked in Area 51. (Area 51 Killed My Husband) *** Two accounts of Bigfoot are reported from Illinois. But these aren’t your typical sightings. They take place in the middle of the night, possibly inside a dream. In fact, they aren’t described as Bigfoot – but as a wookie, like Chewbacca from Star Wars. But then, how do you explain the accounts being exactly the same from two complete strangers? (Wookies In Illinois) *** I’ll be sharing a short sample from the upcoming audiobook “Into Darkness” by Jason R. Davis. My patrons can hear entire chapters from chapter one through to the end as I record them. (Into Darkness – sample) *** Peter Stumpp was arrested accused of being an "insatiable bloodsucker” - which, in 1589, meant he was being accused of being a werewolf. Even stranger… Peter readily admitted to being one. (The Man Who Went On Trial For Being a Werewolf)

IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE WITH STORIES FROM JUNE 2018: Love, infidelity, greed, and murder. True events that led to a best-selling book called “Blood and Money”. (Blood, Money, and Dr. John Hill) *** The lighthouse at Eilean Mor was unmanned. The clock on the wall had stopped, no fire was in the grate (nor had one been there for a few days), there was a meal sitting at the table. It looked like someone had set it down with the intention of eating it soon, but it was untouched. Whatever had happened to the men, it had happened to them suddenly. How could three men simply keeping watch over a lighthouse suddenly disappear without a trace? (The Missing Lighthouse Keepers) *** Heidi Wyrick’s experiences with the paranormal world started when she was just three years old, when Heidi developed an imaginary friend. The ghost of an old man appeared in her backyard, beckoning Heidi to play with him on the swings. (The Haunting of Heidi Wyrick) *** An angry spirit tries to physically harm a child with broken glass – and on the same night, it terrorizes the child’s mother in another room. (Shattered Glass and a Creepy Little Girl) *** An abandoned city in Cuyahoga Valley fuels local urban legends about a chemical spill and murderous Satanists. Welcome to Helltown, Ohio. (Helltown Lives Up To Its Name) *** There are places on this planet that are so feared that people don’t have the courage to visit them. Strange stories of mysterious lights, unexplained sightings and vanishings can be so horrifying that fear wins over curiosity to explore the unknown. (The Valley No One Dares Enter)

IN THIS DARKIVES EPISODE FROM JUNE 2018: It’s first sighting was described as “half man and half beast, standing about five feet six inches, with a tall pointed head. Whatever it was that he had seen, he was convinced that it was neither a bear nor a monkey.” We take a look at the mysterious creature, the Yeti. (Taking a Look At the Yeti Phenomenon) *** On May 16, 1929, Al Capone was arrested in Philadelphia on gun-carrying charges – but it was a put-up job that unfortunately led to a year in prison and Capone’s first encounters with the ghost that he believed haunted him to the grave! (Al Capone and the Ghost of Jimmy Clark) *** Seeing an intruder while in the shower may sound cliché for the movies – but not so much when it happens to you. (Those Strange Fingertips) *** Multiple women have disappeared without a trace from what has become known as Ireland’s ‘vanishing triangle’. Their fates still remain a mystery. (The Ireland Vanishings) *** When you see something out of the corner of your eye, simply to turn and not see anything there… is it your imagination, or is something else at work? (From Work to Home) *** The ancient pterodactyl, the legendary thunderbird, the cryptid known as the Mothman: could they all be one and the same? (Is Mothman a Shapeshifter)

IN THIS EPISODE: The movie, The Sixth Sense, has become a worldwide meme with the phrase “I see dead people”. But for one family in Britain, it’s not a joking matter. (My Children See dead People) *** Barbara and Patricia Grimes were murdered in 1956, but new clues have raised hopes the killer might still be caught. (The Unsolved Murder of the Grimes Sisters) *** “In space, no one can hear you scream” – not just a movie tagline, but reality for astronauts reporting some of the strangest things they’ve encountered while outside our atmosphere. (Space Cases) *** Rosemary’s Baby was a hit novel that became an iconic film, only to bring woe to nearly everyone who made it. We’ll look at the film which many people believe to be cursed. We’ll look at some real-life cases of women who believed they were pregnant with a demon child! And how can you tell if YOU are pregnant with the child of Lucifer? There are a few signs to look for! A Louisville brothel combined the two when someone dropped dead from poisoning. And the media absolutely loved it. (The Brothel Poisoning) *** While out jogging, Sherri Papini inexplicably disappeared. Twenty-two days later she returned home with a story so incredible it was hard to believe. In fact, some people still don’t believe her after all these years. (The Sherri Papini Mystery) *** When groups of sinister drones began hovering over homes in America’s Midwest, the FBI, US Air Force and 16 police forces set up a task force. But the drones vanished. HOUR ONE: Aspiring actress Milicent Patrick finally found success in front of the camera – but not with her own face, but a face that she created… the Creature From the Black Lagoon. (The Actress Who Created A Legendary Universal Monster) *** You don’t hear of werewolf sightings much anymore – but that doesn’t mean they don’t happen. In fact, some new sightings are suddenly cropping up around a 170-year-old cemetery in South London. Could people be seeing the real thing? (New Werewolf Sightings At Old Camberwell Cemetery) *** A young woman disappeared while walking down a lane on New Year’s Day. But the great mystery of it isn’t that she disappeared – she did arrive home a few weeks later. But the greater mystery is the story that the traumatized girl told of what happened to her, and trying to make sense of it all. (The Mystery of Elizabeth Canning) *** But first, we’ll sit around the virtual campfire and I’ll tell you about a few ghosts and legends in the Old West. (Ghosts In The Old West)

IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE FROM JUNE 2018: Al Adamson, the beloved cult-horror director of such schlocky films as PSYCHO A-GO-GO and DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN – was murdered in what can only be called a scene from one of his movies brought to life. (Murder Of The Horror Movie Maker) *** It’s said that the devout Saint Joseph of Cupertino could fly, he could read people’s thoughts, and could create rain during a drought. So why would the church do everything in its power to hide him from the masses of Christian believers? (The Flying Saint With Telepathic Abilities) *** A man sees two ghostly figures in a window’s reflection – and one of them is holding a strange object. (Shades of White) *** Some suspect a serial killer while others point a finger at the paranormal, but nobody has been able to fully explain the mysterious disappearances from Vermont's Bennington Triangle. (Inside The Unsolved Disappearances Of The Bennington Triangle) *** Chingle Hall is one of Britain's oldest and most haunted buildings. Ghosts and poltergeist activity have been reported for many centuries with visions of monks being the most commonly reported phenomena. (Haunted Chingle Hall) *** June and Jennifer Gibbons displayed unsettling behavior early on, even for twins. They refused to speak despite their ability to do so, and they insisted on never being apart. But that is not the strangest thing that happened between these disturbed twins. (Disturbing Twins)
